Great location to center of town but far enough away so it was quiet. The biggest issue is the trains that run through the old orchard beach area. The tracks run close to the beach area so unfortunately when they get close to road crossing they must blow the horn’s at each road crossing. You just need to be aware some hotels are closer to these areas. This one is a several blocks from the closest crossing but you still hear them at various times. You won’t get much closer to the beachfront just be aware you’ll hear trains horns as early as 5:30 am or at mid night.if it wasn’t for the train this would be nine out of ten.

The property is just a few steps from the beach, and close to the city’s boardwalk and pier but far enough to be away from all the traffic and noise. The price quality ratio is great.the staff is super friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a functional kitchen perfect for breakfast and lunch. It was a perfect place for our family of 4

The bathroom is really tiny but considering the price of nearby hotels, we could not complain.

The staff was wonderful, there was a dedicated parking spot, location to the beach was excellent, a very short walk. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. AC worked House keeping did a nice job daily replacing towels each day and making the bed.

There were 2 annoying flys in our room. We were able to get one of them. The other will be there for the next guests. When the people above us took a shower at 6:30 each morning the loud sound of water running woke us up each day. The piping went up the inside of our outside wall.

Perfect location just far enough from the noise of the pier. The staff and the guests were so friendly! They definitely make cleanliness a priority and the kitchenette had everything we needed from a coffee pot and toaster to plates, pots, pans, glasses and silverware. Pool was basically all ours too!

We decided to go to Maine at last minute for the Memorial Day weekend. We sure found a gem in the Echo Motel! It's extremely clean, plenty of room in the room, it's like a little condo or timeshare type room. It was our home away from home. A very nice heated pool, with plenty of seating. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Less than 150 feet from the beach and just minutes from shopping and the Amusement Park. You can sit just outside your door in provided chairs. Or there are other tables and chairs to sit at should you choose. There is a microwave, fridge with a freezer, a 2 burner table top stove, sink, cabinets, loose ground coffee pot and dishes provided. We will 100% return time and time again!! Thank you so much!!

This is not a dislike just a little bit of an inconvenience, rooms #9 and up the parking is across the street. It's not a big deal as it's behind the owners home on their property so it's just fine and safe. The room, location and price made up for it. The only other thing I would say is that the shower and bathroom sink were small, but once you figure out how to maneuver it's just fine.

Staff was very Friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Kitchenette was fully stocked with all the dishes and pans needed. Would definitely recommend to other people . I can see us coming back to this location .only 150feet from the beach. There is 2 outside grills for your use. Very nice looking pool as well.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Cleanliness of room. Beach view. I was really afraid that we would arrive and the motel would not look like the pictures. I was worried that since it was older, the rooms would be worn out and not so clean. It was wonderful to discover that the motel is exactly as it is portrayed online. I was very happy.

Two cold rainy days.

The proximity to the beach makes this an excellent choice. The box of leftover beach toys to use and share is incredibly helpful. Upstairs sitting area on the landing is helpful for visiting with others so you don’t have to sit inside.

The Echo was perfect. We spent 9 nights and loved every minute! The room was spacious and clean. Steps from the beach. Kitchen, grill, outside tables and seating. The pool was perfect. The owners were hands on, so nice, and made it a lovely experience. Nice walk to pier, not too far, but far enough from the crowds and noise. Corner store a block away if you need something. My daughters really loved The Echo. They said it is “the best place ever”.

Loved the location to the beach. The new owners were very nice and accommodating. Always able to contact if any problems. They did a great job with the upgrades to the hotel. The pool and rooms were clean. The cleaning staff was friendly. All the other guests were nice and not rude. Would recommend to anyone to stay there. If we could give higher marks we would.

Nothing that we can think of. Overall very happy and will stay there again.
