Quiet hotel Friendly stay Clean room

Off an extremely busy road, which isn't really the hotel's fault Pool kind of dirty with people's hair and dead insects floating around in it On the second night of my stay, the hallway reeked of weed after the maid went thru Rooms are pretty dimly lit There was some sort of fundraiser carnival going on right across the street and people that were attending that were using parking spots in the hotel parking lot, leaving no spots for hotel guests to park .

The breakfast was okay, beds were comfy, most of the staff was super pleasant and I live in the area so it was a great birthday get away hotel.

One morning the cleaning lady busted into our room and I was still pulling up my pants, instead of closing the door immediately she stands there and starts asking if I’m checking out that day or the next day. It was very awkward no apology she just left and closed the door after I said Sunday. Very little care in the world honestly.

The hotel for the most part was clean and comfortable, and it's location is great. It's about twenty minutes from UMD College Park (which is where I needed to go), and close enough to a lot of shopping and activities. The staff were friendly enough, and overall, it's a good value for the location.

The hallways did smell like weed, and the elevator was filthy. Additionally, the room next to ours was incredibly loud. Finally, the shower curtain in our room was broken, so we spent the morning trying to mop up the water that got out. I do think the rooms/bathrooms need some maintenance.

The price, and the super comfortable bed and pillows, convenient location near the highway. Sufficient parking. Friendly and quick check in. Breakfast had better than usual hotel coffee and a good number of food options. Overall, it was an excellent value.

The heating/cooling unit was very loud, and the bathroom sink seemed low and so was a bit awkward to use when washing my face. The room was a bit small. One of the beds was up against the wall, making it very inconvenient for the person who slept on that side. Bathroom could use improvements, but it was clean and functional.

The hotel is in a good and safe location. Both the hotel itself and our room were clean. As always at Hampton Inn, breakfast was awesome.

I was charged extra for my stay. The front desk told me that it took care of the extra charges but I was not notified that I would be charged by the hotel to make up the difference for the money the hotel receives from Booking.com. I was not happy to hear that! I'm sure everyone who makes a reservation through Booking.com doesn't expect to pay additional charges.

Room and hotel area/location was good, closer to everything.

Didn't get room service last 2 days of our stay, even when we specifically asked for room service, were told we had to inform the Front Desk a day before, which does not make any sense. Washroom sink tap was lose and came off a few times. Unacceptable for a hotel that charged more than others in this area.

Breakfast was very good and changed every day, almost like before Covid times. Beds were comfortable, bathroom clean, room very spacious and quiet. Parking with lots of free space even when the hotel was full.

On the first night someone smoked in the room above us so our room was full of cigarette smoke. Person from the reception refused to change rooms for us and offered a room freshener instead. On the same night someone puked in the elevator and the puke wasn't cleaned for hours. But, to be fair, the rest of the stay was just as expected.

Check-in was extremely quick and easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was convenient. Breakfast was good, fresh, abundant, and offered variety of foods.

Pillows were not so good.

Our room was separate from other, busier rooms so it was quieter. Easy access to our vehicle since we were by a side door that we could enter with our key. Breakfast was great and staff very friendly!

Only a few minor issues: floor in room could have been vacuumed more thoroughly, and toilet was making noise all the time. Pillows were mushy and not comfortable. Feather pillows are not good.

The building is very clean, they have santizer stations that actually work. Like they actually refill them unlike most public places nowadays. It was easy to check in. The room was clean and comfortable. To haveI like that they have 24 hour coffee and the breakfast was great, it hit the spot. I will definitely come again in the future.
