Comfortable, detail oriented , elegant and the most gracious hosts make this a special place to choose for a stay on Cape Cod. Exceeded any expectations and perhaps the best experience of a bed and breakfast / inn category I have had. The breakfasts are served in beautiful surrounding and alternate by day sweet or spicy , perfection!

The location as expected with a historic house is close to busy street but this was a given and not unexpected. Our 2 nd floor bedroom was removed and in no way impacted sleep or visit.

Dream experience in an historical inn. Carol welcomed us warmly even after the usual check-in hours and gave us some nice suggestions to make our stay in Cape Cod even better. Breakfast brought the experience to a different level: it was just amazing, everyday something different and freshly made. South Yarmouth is maybe not the most exclusive location on the Cape but we did actually like that the inn was in a quiter location. Besides, you can reach many different spots in a very short time. Room was very pretty and unique, really liked the style and attention to details. Lovely touch to leave some candies on the bed as a nice welcome for the guests. Finally, personal highlight for me: very soft towels and bath robe.

The place is simply wonderful in all respects. The ambiance of the rooms and common spaces, the vibe of the charming old mansion, the attention to every detail, the amenities provided, the quality of sleep The breakfast was homemade, cooked almost by your table, and so tasteful. The staff were super helpful and catered for all our requests -Carol and Jeff are wonderful hosts! The location in the centre of the Cod peninsula is also very practical. In our 20-day road trip in the States we mostly stayed in well-known 4 and 5-star hotels, which were all equalled or bettered by this small country-side inn.

Actually, there was nothing we didn't like. Maybe only that it lacked a direct view to the ocean, being located on a secondary road in the town.

Staff was very pleasant and attentive without being obtrusive. The breakfast was always delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. And when in conversation the Caretakers were always ready with a dinner or travel suggestion. My wife especially appreciated the ambiance of a ship captains' home, modern updates were obviously made but the floor to ceiling windows with original panes of glass really sold the experience for my wife.

The pillow top mattress spread was a little too soft for my liking but easily removed and replaced when our stay was over.

Breakfast was lovely and our hosts happily swapped out the sweet option for savoury. We were visiting friends / family and the location was perfect for that so we did not have to drive too far which left us down time to enjoy our room - with its own little piece of the verandah.

It was all lovely … another night would have been better :)

The location was quiet, the breakfasts were delicious, and the staff were awesome. The owner even made us an early breakfast to go the morning we were catching an early ferry to Nantucket. They accommodated our late arrival very well and we felt so at home the whole time. Also loved the complimentary snacks and beverages!

Our bed was a little too soft for our liking. Others may not be bothered by it as people's preferences in this area vary.

Hosts were present. helpful and an extreme pleasure to deal with. Property was extremely clean and updated while retaining its charm. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom up-to-date. "Gourmet" breakfasts were creative and different every day and each was delicious. Dining areas were charming and lovely. Location was reasonably convenient to the entire Cape which was important to our plans. We would definitely stay at Captain Farris House again.

Breakfast was a wonderful start to the day. Very nice menu, creative, delicious. Service was excellent, staff were great. Fresh baked goodies in the afternoon was a nice touch. The room was Hosts Carol and Jeff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. They are genuine, warm and professional.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. If I can think of something I'll let you know.

First time at a B&B and it was amazing. Loved the room. Huge bathroom. Great location. The house was beautiful and the grounds were so peaceful. The food was amazing and had snacks and drinks for us anytime.

That I couldn’t stay longer! Would love to come back and would def stay here again.

The hosts put a lot of thoughts into decorations and breakfast. Like the vintage vibe and skylight lit coffee area. Had a little mis-communication with booking.com’s booking, thought the queen size bed room we booked had the spa bath but it didn’t, it came with a great new shower. But the host was able to switch us to another room without charges. Both days’ Breakfast were amazing, the host customized it for my husband the second day knowing he doesn’t eat any fruit.

You can hear church bell every hour. Not so bad the second night after you get used to it.
