Great room, very friendly staff, nice view, super clean (kudos to your maids). nice indoor pool and large hot tub, nice play gym for the kids, beach area kept clean, sand toys bin for the kids, loved the place! Special thanks to Darlene and other front desk staff who were so helpful when I had to return to look for something we forgot, There is also a nice volleyball court, dock, and two firepits. This was my second outstanding visit and I can't wait to return again. This was some of the best hotel service I have ever received!!!

Late room makeover for staying guests, would like a meat with breakfast, warm the pool up a bit, written instructions for TV. Light the fireplace up for cool nights. Just suggestions, no real complaints.

Our view was beautiful - the beach was well maintained and had beach toys to share. The staff was amazing and was always seen cleaning. They were pleasant to speak with and knowledgeable about the area. The air conditioning worked really well which was a huge plus. It was a very comfortable stay.

The pool area was dark. It would have been great to have a little more light in there. The breakfast was little light on choices, but for such a small place, was understandable. Overall these are the only suggestions I could think of to improve on!

We had a beauatiful view of the lake. The beach is clean and beautiful, It has grill's and firepits for the quests to use, Also, enough beach chairs for the quests to use.

The room didn't have enough towels for the numbe of guests the reservation was for. The room seemed to have a number of insects and bugs in them. The balacony didn't seem to have been cleaned either. Spider webs etc. Also, the vendiing machines weren't working properly. I notified the front desk and they didn't seem to be aware of it when I informed them.

Hotel was easy to get to. Right off the main road that wasn't overly busy. My room was very clean and fresh smelling. Breakfast had limited options but what was available was good. The beach area was well taken care of. You could tell it has been recently raked. The staff was absolutely amazing. I was traveling alone and had a few requests because of a medical condition. They happily listened and reassure me that they would handle things if a situation were to arise.

The view of Houghton Lake was perfect. There was plenty of hot coffee ready in the morning, along with a small selection of breakfast items. The rooms were clean and the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel had a pleasant scent, not too much of a medicinal smell, like most hotels

No bananas as an option for the breakfast bar. And the toaster was difficult to operate. We had to unplug it to remove our toast/bagels.

Everything was pretty nice except we had Nats in our room. I understand that it's out of anyone's control. They were swarming outside too. Other than that , it was a great place to stay. The room was very clean( which is the most important thing to me) and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very nice. I would stay here again.

The only thing I didn't like were the knats. They were everywhere. Even in our room.

We had a room with a view of the lake. Top floor on the end of the floor. It was quiet, clean and the bed was wonderful to sleep in. I called for directions because in error I put the address as 4990 Houghton lake road. My GPS put it to lake city.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Everything we wanted, was conveniently located on the same strip of road.

Great beach, wonderful room and the staff was SO FRIENDLY and helpful - recommending a great place for dinner! Loved the front desk experience so much - very kind staff and we really enjoyed the beach!

Everything was great for the value --- we didn't expect a super fancy breakfast, but it had everything we needed. Also appreciated always having coffee ready in the library and even some pumpkin spice flavoring! Again, the location was wonderful on the beach and our room was very clean and comfortable

It had a dock for our fishing boat. Great location and good parking lot. Beach area nice. Breakfast area nice, as was the food. Bathroom near pool area and lobby which was good.

The TV didn’t work properly and the channels were not plentiful or even good to watch, and with a really rainy day, that was a bummer!

Room was very clean; bed was very comfortable; jacuzzi tub was clean; location, right on the lake, was terrific! Continental breakfast was good.

The only thing that could have made the stay more enjoyable would have been some kind of meat for breakfast and a lower cost for the night. Other than that, we have no complaints!
