Love the Castle, so Beautiful and well kept. Breakfast was okay, we ordered to our room at 8:30am by 8:45am I had to go find someone to ask where our food was. They brought it up about 20 mins later. We ordered eggs over easy, bacon and wheat toast. We got sour dough bread, NO BACON and our eggs were over medium. Yogurt parfait, crescent roll and a bowl of fruit. But over all it was a decent stay at The Castle!

No other beverages in the room. Would of loved to have something different. Some people can’t stand to drink water. And only a bathtub in the room. But overall a decent stay.

I understand that this is a historical sight but the bed in the room I stayed in was too narrow, uncomfortable and creaking. Overall, I do know it’s part of the parcel of keeping the stay authentic, but comfortable it was not. nevertheless, the experience made up for it :)

Despite the bad comments people had made, our experience at Herderson Castle was great, the staff was friendly and helpful with great communication, the check-in was smooth, everything was ready at our arrival. The room was fine, I loved the vintage decorations throughout the premises but my favorite thing of all was the food, we made dinner reservation and everything was so delicious from appetizers to desserts I also recommend do the breakfast upgrade. I wish I could stay another night but it was booked up but definitely will return in the near future.

Food takes a bit longer to get because is made at the moment you order but is worth the wait.

Beautiful room and beautiful property. If I stay here again, which a very likely will, the only thing I would do differently is take advantage of all the activities the castle has to offer. The restaurant, wine tastings, tours, etc

Loved everything about our stay except for the communication from the castle. I got a text about a week before, then the same text again asking about check in time, breakfast order, etc. I answered it the second time and thought that would be all. I then got a phone call asking the same things which I answered. I got a second phone call the next morning and a voicemail of a front desk person with the same questions. After checking out I got yet another text. For some this may seem attentive but it felt a bit much. I would definitely stay here again though

I love the staff, they were very enjoyable to talk to and it was fun to hear their stories. The atmosphere was great and I love the old vintage house. It was something very unique versus staying in the standard hotel.

The only issue I had was the small room where the toilet resides. I'm a pretty big guy so it was just a tight squeeze for me

The atmosphere was lovely. The tub water was hot--never ran out for the deep tub!

My glass and my husband's glass were dirty at breakfast. We did not say anything at the time. The exasperated server was understandably so, because "everyone asked for breakfast at 9am." She lacked maturity to think/speak more of the customer than herself. That's hard to learn, but she may benefit in this career by learning and internalizing the skill. She was polite :-)

Charming facility.

This was during the pandemic, and we may have been the only "residents" for the evening. There was a skeleton staff, so we had to make a decision on our breakfast before we even got to our room. Reception was not open when we left at 10:00 AM.

The hot tub on the roof is always amazing. The blueberry pancakes for breakfast and it’s just a beautiful place to relax and getaway. There’s a lot of privacy as well

Breakfast was a half hour late

Breakfast was nice. Service was excellent from the front desk to the bartender to the breakfast server.

Bathroom was fine except for the fact that the shower flooded the entire floor by design. I understand that it's a function of available space, but it is not ideal.

The staff was amazing. Friendly and accommodating. The castle itself is cool. The bed was comfortable. The spa tub was everything.

The cost seems a little high for everything.
