We needed a place to stay the night before going to Mackinac Island. After reading some of the reviews, I almost passed on this hotel, I'm so glad I didn't. It was in the perfect location, room was clean, shower was nice with good water-pressure, had a refrigerator and was directly across the street from the Mackinac Island Ferry. I would stay again if ever in the area.

Was a bit dated, beds were full instead of queen size (but comfy).

The room was comfortable and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. It would have been nice to have a taller toilet. We were on the third floor and when we looked out the window there were spider webs,

When we made our reservations it said there was breakfast. When I went down around 6:30 Am The only thing there were a few Granola bars, and coffee. The second day There was nothing but coffee. I heard the person behind the desk told someone the Management said they gave a 10% discount on breakfast at a couple places down the road if you show your card.

Absolutely loved the indoor waterpark for my child! It was a great way to burn out the last of her energy at the end of the day, plus open till 10pm?? Amazing!! It’s great for people who have a rainy day and don’t want to be outside!

The hallways and stairs leading to the pool and waterpark could be cleaner, lots of bugs and spiderwebs, plus a few wide open windows with no screens. No breakfast but they do provide coupons for local breakfast places! Also, the sink in our bathroom took a while to drain, and the toilet clogged very easily, had to ask for housekeeping to unclog because we didn’t have access to a plunger and that was a bit embarrassing.

The staff made the stay a pleasure. The indoor waterpark was icing on the cake. Add the location, and it is a no-brainer that this place is an excellent choice. I'll definitely consider coming back the next time I look to stay in the area.

The facility seemed to be undergoing some upgrades and were not fully updated or functional yet. The place still worked as a great budget option, but we were a bit surprised by the condition of some parts of the facility, like the plumbing in the bathrooms, the conditions of the electric outlets, and the lack of a continental breakfast while the facilities for one seemed to exist.

They don't have breakfast We called for towels and my Grandson went down to get them. The room upon our arrival was neat but only three hand towels and 5 or 6 wash cloth:s only one Bath towel. But the woman at the desk ordered our Trolley to do.the your..it was so cool..older Trolley but unique and the driver very friendly to and narrated wherever we stopped. We thoroughly enjoyed the time and the ride

Wish they would have given us more towels. We had one bath towel three hand towels and 6 wash cloths.We had to call the desk to get towels.

I thought the hotel was nicer in person than in the pictures. I already knew it was a bit outdated but they managed to make it look nice, at least in the room we were in. The room was clean and the beds were nice and firm with fluffy pillows. The bathroom was clean and spacious. We did have a refrigerator which was convenient to store our drinks in. My teenage son got to go down to the attached water park and swim, he enjoyed it but it was quite busy and when I went down to watch him and just sit to relax, I couldn't take more than 5 minutes of being in there because it was way too hot. The temperature needs to be dropped a bit so people aren't overheating. But overall, it was nice to have the indoor pool. There was even a small game room with a couple arcade games and a air hockey table. Outside was another pool but we forgot about it so didn't get to try it out.

There was no breakfast offered when normally there is, and they have a spacious facility for it. However, I knew this when I booked the room because the website had an update on this. Our "lake view" room was disappointing, because Lake Huron was across the street on the other side of another hotel; you could see the water but it wasn't like you had a great up-close view as I had expected. Had I known this, I would have booked at the hotel across the street next to the water. There was no microwave in the room but fortunately for one night we didn't need it.

We only stayed one night. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. A little out of date but super clean, so it didn't matter too much. The pillows were great! The front desk check in and out was quick and she was friendly (we were a little worried after finding the YouTube manager threatening a customer video). The water park was small but my 11 year old still had fun. Overall an easy overnight stay. Parking was awesome, lots of space and plenty of room for our truck and boat. The hotel was right across the street from the ferry so heading to the island was a breeze. The front desk offered discounts for the ferry and it was the cheapest rate I have ever paid and could find from other vendors.

DO NOT go to the breakfast place they recommend and give you coupons for. It's horrible! Check out Darrow's family restaurant instead. WAY too strong on the chlorine. Burned my eyes. That being said, the normal pool was really yucky and needed a deep clean. The water park area was clean.

I liked the Waterpark. The pool and hot tub were very large. The beds were extremely comfy with plenty of blankets. The shower had great pressure and stayed warm. Our stay was enjoyable!

I didn't like that for the price there wasn't a breakfast included. Checkout instructions were different at the hotel than on booking.com. We also though the tv was out dated for the price of the room. The TV was hard to change the channel, very slow and also small.

The location of my room on the third floor was perfect for being able to find our way to the water park. It was amazing and clean and the view from our room was amazing.

Honestly I wish you would go back to serving breakfast. While the coupon for toast a go go is a nice touch. Their buffet prices are extremely high and the coupon doesn’t cover a child buffet. So being a single parent with a child the coupon wasn’t honorable.

It was very clean, well-maintained, room very nice! The staff were all very friendly- everyone I passed said hello and smiled.

I can't think of anything I didn't like about this place. I definitely plan to stay here again. I used to drive the 7-8 hours to Marquette to visit famiky from our house in one trip, but if my husband doesn't go with me, I have to split the trip into two shorter days. This is the perfect 1/2 way point.
