Americas Best Value Inn Mackinaw City

The room was clean and spacious (we had two queen beds). Nice roomy pool but water was a bit cool. Hotel felt a bit dated but overall it was nice. Location to get to downtown was excellent.

No hand soap in the room (had to ask for some at the front desk), the door lock was finicky to open (it wouldn't work then it would), we showed up for breakfast in the last hour the place was opened and they had run out of things (e.g., milk, waffle batter), the lady at the front desk could have been a bit nicer. Not a fan of pet-friendly hotels when people allow their dogs to bark.

The breakfast room was very nice. The gentleman working was nice. Although it was a bit chilly in there because of Michigan's fall, and I imagine winter, season. The spa was great and the room was pretty spacious. The heating unit looked newer and heated our room up quickly once we got there. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean.

There were multiple locations of peeling wallpaper in our room. The indoor pool was closed for the season. There was no microwave in our room. The lights above the table flickered constantly when they were on.

this is not a 5 star hotel, but is very nice compared to other places i have stayed at in the same price range. the staff were very nice. The room was nice, but nothing fancy, but served our needs well The soap dispensers in the shower and vanity area was a really cool idea, every hotel should do this.

the beds were comfortable, but made a lot of noise if you toss and turn all night like i do the indoor pool water was pretty cold you have to walk outside to get to the pool and the Breakfast area.

Breakfast was lovely in the room surrounded by windows. Weather was lovely so we were able to enjoy grilling outdoors during the stay.

Plumbing needs to be updated in the rooms. We had to plunge the toilet and the water backed up terribly in the shower. Water pressure is turned up way to high, it could be turned down and might help with the pooling of water in the basin of the tub. Bathrooms are very small, difficult to get out of the shower without hitting the toilet and the door. If the door hinge were moved to the other side and the door opened up against the wall instead of the shower this could alleviate the issue.

After a long drive, Americas Best Value Inn Mackinaw City was a super place to relax and recharge for the evening. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean as well as quiet since the building is set away from the main road. The bed was a little soft for our liking but still worked well for a good night's rest. The room had a small fridge, microwave, and small coffee station, to allow one to remain hydrated and comfortable. There is parking in front of each room to allow one a convenient spot to load/unload luggage. As far as we could see there were no eating places within walking distance so we relied on food that we had with us from our journey. The breakfast was simple with cereal, pastries, coffee, and juice which is perfect to start one's day. The hotel staff is helpful, welcoming, and friendly. We only stayed for one night so we did not make use of their pool area but it looked very popular whilst we were there.

There is nothing that we did not like. We were happy with our choice of hotel and it allowed us to rest well before we left for our next journey.

Staff member Jamie was AMAZING!!!! She remembered us from our visit last month!!! She brought us extra towels before we needed them, she brought me coffee since I definitely drink a lot. The room was large and perfect! The shower was great. The beds were comfy. The girls loved the VERY large pool. The grills were an added bonus.

Breakfast area way too small. No microwave in the room.

Location is great.. Not right on the main strip. Room was cozy and clean.. Breakfast was good.. Had the usual Continental.. cold cereal.. Waffles.. Juice..fruit.. Breads. Loved where breakfast room was located ( enclosed pavilion type room with a deck in middle of hotel property) Pool is also in it's own area on the property.

Had a little difficulty getting tv to work at first. Bathroom (layout) a bit small.

Our room was way above our expectations. It was very clean and spacious! The check in clerk Karen was very helpful and made us feel she was happy to have us as guests. Also, the location was perfect for our weekend get away, we were in Mackinaw City to go to Headlands International Dark Sky Park and this property was the closest to the Park!

The free breakfast could have lasted until 10am instead of 9:00am. But the attendant at breakfast was very helpful and did her best to keep everything stocked.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our room and they quickly responded, but could not resolve so moved us to another room and assisted us.

The facilities was clean and comfortable, but was dated and could use some TLC. Breakfast did not have any juice. We are not coffee drinkers, so would be nice to have that alternative.

The staff was really friendly and the. Breakfast was pretty good for what it was! The rooms were pretty nice and the shower was hot just how I like it!

That the pool was closed and didn’t know until we got there to the property as my daughter wanted to swim.
