Have stayed here for five consecutive years. If there are issues generally taken care of right away. Was glad to know that they went back to being staffed 24 hours this last year. Older hotel but comfortable.

everything was good. Sandra the housekeeper was great. The view from the room, everything in the room, the pool was good. 2 year old loved everything. the middle of mackinaw city shopping and food is about 1 mile away but there are good sidewalks and it's an easy walk for whatever you need.

the beach isn't very nice for a kid. it seems like it is more for drunk adults to sit on around a fire and all sorts of birds to poop on. maybe that's all beaches in Michigan. I don't know. We had a deluxe room which was on the first floor. the main door for the room did not latch tight. everytime someone opened a door on the first floor it made out door move and make noise. overall nothing major and would book this hotel again.

Room was very spacious, balcony right on the beach, a beautiful view, we booked a king room but got updated to a deluxe family room for no extra charge as it was available. We stayed for 2 nights and had regular cleaning service everyday. Despite guests all around us, the rooms were very quiet and nice at night. No disturbance.

Room service could be a bit better, wanted a cork opener, called the front desk, but had to go all the way to lobby to borrow it. They might be short on staff, but other than that, staff was very well behaved and informative.

The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were clean and well stocked. The staff was very friendly and super helpful with any questions we had. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, so I'm not sure how it is but we did grab cups of coffee on the way out. It was hot and flavorful. They give you plenty of options to make it the way you like it.

The only down fall was a broken ice machine on our floor. The machine on the floor below and above us worked so it really wasn't a big deal

It was the perfect size room. A little outdated style, but it was clean, and that's all I care about. What made it nice, was the room had an amazing view of Lake Huron, and had easy access to the beach. It was wonderful to sit on the balcony in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee, while watching the sun rise over the calm lake. It was also quiet, for a majority of the time throughout the day in the hotel. There was occasional noise from people moving around inside/outside, or from house keeping. But everyone was quiet after 10pm pretty much. The staff were also very nice and helpful. For example, the hair dryer in the room didn't work, so I asked the front desk if could have a new one, and after 40 minutes I think?, the maintenance man came by to give me a new one. It was done in a timely manner, and I appreciated it.

I don't really have any complaints about the room itself, but if I had to picky, I would say the hotel's beach & grass areas had a lot of seagull and geese poop on it, so I didn't lay out on the beach to enjoy it. I know its not the hotel staff's fault, its because inconsiderate tourists feed the birds ALL. DAY. LONG. While I was staying here, there were tons of seagulls flying around aggressively & fighting over the food people threw at them. In fact, at one point, I had to yell at a group of tourists to stop feeding them, because 3 seagulls almost flew into my room/attacked me, when I was opening my balcony door. The hotel should consider hanging signs on balcony doors (or somewhere on the beach), to let tourists know to not feed the seagulls or wildlife.

It is 2nd time staying this summer. The room is quiet and spacious with a beautiful lake view. The beds and pillows are comfortable. In the morning you can see the sunrise from the balcony. The air is so fresh and the water from the faucet is good. It is located in a quiet part of Mackinaw City. The building is solid but the interior is getting worn out. I would stay here when we are in town. Highly recommended!

Not much complain!

Loved that the hotel was right on the beach and next to all the things Mackinaw has to offer. Indoor pool was fun for the kids, staff was pretty friendly, rooms were spacious with a nice patio and beach was decent.

The hot tub was disgusting. The first night it had brown foam in it and we just put our feet in and they felt slimy afterward. I was really looking forward to the hot tub after walking all day but it was too gross to get in all week. There was no breakfast either which sucked but its not a big problem.

I liked that it was on the beach they had a pool and hot tub and the 2 beds were kinda separated with the bathroom and kitchen stuff in the middle it was a nice setup had a mini fridge and microwave

The room seemed a little outdated our room had really small tvs but my sisters room down the hall had big tvs and the bathroom had a couple pieces of tiles missing along the baseboard. There was a hole in the ceiling shower like they had the pipe going through the ceiling at some point maybe, also the hair dryer didn’t work The same sand piles stayed on the rug near the beach entrance so I don’t think they vacuum or sweep the area regularly

Location, value, cleanliness

Had to clean the drain the shower, black hair was stuck in the drain. A ceiling vent was hanging down, asked them to repair it. Coffee pot was filled with mold and a moldy filter. Patio was filled with cobwebs and spiders, my daughter asked for a broom and we cleaned the patio. King size bed , top sheet wasn’t a king size for the bed. Asked the lady at the front desk for coffee and more cups, she said to find a person in housekeeping to give it to us. That’s what she gets paid to do, not me!

Breakfast was not available at this hotel and for us, this wasn't an issue. The location was great and on the beach. The balcony overlooked the water and we did have a partial view of the bridge. The staff were very friendly and helpful to whatever needs or questions we had. We would stay here again. The rooms were nice. A little dated, but, clean and spacious. Thank you all for a terrific stay.

The pool had a very high smell of chlorine which did make my eyes water. The kids had no problem with it and had a great time.
