Most everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The layout and area for breakfast was great, and the food was good. Both mornings we were there, tho', the selection was the same. Would've been nice to have a change.

Our room, was decent size and the bed was comfortable and clean. But the overall room was dark, had been wet (dehumidifier was set up and running under the sink), and was desperately in need of upgrading/renovating/modernizing (carpet was dark red; furniture was old; lighting was minimal; bathroom door had a hole in it....). We were comfortable enough and luckily weren't confined to our room due to bad weather or something. For the price we paid, we are able to say the room was "just good. Not great, not bad---just good".

Close to the ferry services over to the Island and many shops within walking distance. Staff was friendly. Nice pool although we didn't use it. The back of the hotel had a little beach area with a beautiful view. Rooms were large, nicely decorated and clean. Beds were pretty comfortable. We stayed in a queen room with 2 queen beds.

The exterior could use some updating. It must have been a busy weekend coming up during our stay because the hotel was packed and parking was not easy to find in the evening when we got back from our adventures.

Good location, close to main street and Ferry station, friendly stuff, beach area and indoor pool. Old hotel, like all others around, but well maintained and very clean. Coffee machine in the lobby makes fabulous coffee.

Not sure, the only issue I have is the noise from the plumbing when someone near your room uses the shower. But this is due to the insulation when the hotel was build, so not easy fixable I guess. That is common issue with all the hotels around the area. But it is not a deal breaker for me.

The Staff was very accommodating, friendly and straight forward. I appreciated their candid candor and general disposition. The view of the room was one of the best in house, I thoroughly enjoyed swimming 🏊‍♀️ in early September as the water temp was just right. It was one of the best vacation trips I have ever experienced in my life and it also happened to be My wife and my Honeymoon

The Vending machines ripping me off was the only complaint I had about our stay

Breakfast was a typical breakfast, not stand out-ish. Rather what we expected. The location was pretty, but the getting to the upstairs location was a little complicated to navigate how to get to it. And we were looking at it from a handicap perspective with the elevator for friends of ours, who are asking us for recommendation, if they came there.

The person next-door to us had the TV on all night loud enough that we could hear through the walls

The view of the water the best. We bought ferry tickets at a discount to go to the island. The hotel was walking distance to some shops, but we like to hike too. The ladies at the front desk were always friendly and helpful.

The breakfast. We stayed 3 nights and each morning it was the same. I was disappointed in the selection too. Boil eggs, pancakes, ham and oatmeal. I opted for peanut butter on toast. The parking was tight too.

Location right on the beach stayed on the bottom floor with patio facing lakeMichigan 👌 could walk to downtown area, so don't bother going to either breakfast restaurants across the street. Head downtown mainstreet eat down there. Must stop at the Keyhole bar and grill.. It's the best place in town very lively and fun. Great friendly waitresses Kari and Criss.

The staff weren't the friendliest...I don't know what's happened to customer service!

The room was old but clean. The balcony facing the water was the best part. The motel was quiet and easy to find, there were a few decent restaurants within walking distance.

The staff was obviously tired, and uninterested in answering questions. Long season I suppose. The breakfast room had barely enough seating, the staff was friendly but really overworked and the food options were only ok. popular motel with large bus tours.

Everything you could ever need was in walking distance! Also, loved the indoor pool-the water was warm. I could actually just get in & go right under water!!! I also loved the beach right outside of our room. We left our patio door open a lot just to hear the pretty sound of the waves! So relaxing!

Our sink in our room was pretty clogged. We did tell them when we left though.

The hotel was very convenient to everything we needed like the ferry, restaurants, and beach. We located it quickly right off the interstate and were pleasantly surprised by the view from our balcony onto Lake Huron. Breakfast included fruit, eggs, ham, breads, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, and drinks. My husband and grandson were able to enjoy it all, but I would have appreciated a few gluten free options for myself.

During checkin I realized that the pool was not accessible indoors from my room. It was necessary to cross the parking lot and the lobby to access it and leave. Temps were in the 40s-50s, so I decided not to use it. Unfortunately, that was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel. My grandson LOVED the pool and did not mind the cold walk back to the room :)
