Most everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The layout and area for breakfast was great, and the food was good. Both mornings we were there, tho', the selection was the same. Would've been nice to have a change.

Our room, was decent size and the bed was comfortable and clean. But the overall room was dark, had been wet (dehumidifier was set up and running under the sink), and was desperately in need of upgrading/renovating/modernizing (carpet was dark red; furniture was old; lighting was minimal; bathroom door had a hole in it....). We were comfortable enough and luckily weren't confined to our room due to bad weather or something. For the price we paid, we are able to say the room was "just good. Not great, not bad---just good".

Close to the ferry services over to the Island and many shops within walking distance. Staff was friendly. Nice pool although we didn't use it. The back of the hotel had a little beach area with a beautiful view. Rooms were large, nicely decorated and clean. Beds were pretty comfortable. We stayed in a queen room with 2 queen beds.

The exterior could use some updating. It must have been a busy weekend coming up during our stay because the hotel was packed and parking was not easy to find in the evening when we got back from our adventures.

The view of the water the best. We bought ferry tickets at a discount to go to the island. The hotel was walking distance to some shops, but we like to hike too. The ladies at the front desk were always friendly and helpful.

The breakfast. We stayed 3 nights and each morning it was the same. I was disappointed in the selection too. Boil eggs, pancakes, ham and oatmeal. I opted for peanut butter on toast. The parking was tight too.

Location right on the beach stayed on the bottom floor with patio facing lakeMichigan 👌 could walk to downtown area, so don't bother going to either breakfast restaurants across the street. Head downtown mainstreet eat down there. Must stop at the Keyhole bar and grill.. It's the best place in town very lively and fun. Great friendly waitresses Kari and Criss.

The staff weren't the friendliest...I don't know what's happened to customer service!

The room was old but clean. The balcony facing the water was the best part. The motel was quiet and easy to find, there were a few decent restaurants within walking distance.

The staff was obviously tired, and uninterested in answering questions. Long season I suppose. The breakfast room had barely enough seating, the staff was friendly but really overworked and the food options were only ok. popular motel with large bus tours.

The hotel was very convenient to everything we needed like the ferry, restaurants, and beach. We located it quickly right off the interstate and were pleasantly surprised by the view from our balcony onto Lake Huron. Breakfast included fruit, eggs, ham, breads, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, and drinks. My husband and grandson were able to enjoy it all, but I would have appreciated a few gluten free options for myself.

During checkin I realized that the pool was not accessible indoors from my room. It was necessary to cross the parking lot and the lobby to access it and leave. Temps were in the 40s-50s, so I decided not to use it. Unfortunately, that was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel. My grandson LOVED the pool and did not mind the cold walk back to the room :)

The location and availability of breakfast.

I requested a handicapped room, but got a 3rd floor room that required a lot of walking with difficulty pushing a luggage cart. Big facility, but only one elevator far outside from lobby, then a somewhat steep ramp to get to 24th room. The room was 1/2 of a suite with a double keyed entry which made it more difficult as our door was located behind the first door in a triangular shaped entry. It was challenging for a 78 year with recent shoulder surgery and my husband who recently had totally knee replacement. The bathroom had no bars, a tub shower and low toilet. When I complained the next morning with my paperwork showing handicapped they said I should have said something when we checked in. No way was I moving after we finally got settled.

I liked that everything was walking distance towards the many stores and restaurants. It was walking distance towards the ferry docks along with the discounted prices on the ferries for Mackinac Island. Regarding the bridge and the historical statues it was walking distance.

We asked the lady at the front desk to clean our room before 8am the next morning but it was never cleaned the next day when we returned to our room.

We have stayed in Mackinaw City several times and have never found a hotel that suited our needs. This hotel did. The location on the beach is great; the room was clean and smelled nice.

The staff was courteous but not friendly. They either don't enjoy their jobs or they don't like the customers. Again, they were courteous and professional but not friendly. And the breakfast was lacking. I think you should start it earlier or end it later. There were so many people trying to find a table and get their food; it was distracting.

It’s a very nice hotel, with a beautiful view. Being the first weekend of April and them just reopening, they had a few out of the blue unexpected happenings. Like the pool pipes had broken, and breakfast wasn’t able to be severe on site. But they made it up with free accommodation with free hot breakfast next door and free water park passes for the indoor water park that’s kiddie corener across the road. The room was nice and quiet, with a beautiful view of the island ,very clean, beds comfortable. Easy in and out. Staff very friendly!! Will come back again. 🙂.
