Cambria Hotel Bloomington Mall of America Minneapolis Airport

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel for about 6 hours. We always drive here and arrive late. Also, we used the free airport shuttle at 4 am, So we did not use more than the shower, the beds, and the free coffee. But so far, the rooms have been very clean and ready for guests. I will always prefer the Choice Hotels if the location is close enough.

I didn't like that we didn't have time to enjoy the pool and the rest of the amenities. Also, the parking lot is full every time. We left our car at a long-term parking lot close to the airport because this was planned but I don't know about the availability of the parking spots at this hotel. I'm sure they can accommodate everyone.

They were very accommodating. I had changes in my trip that required early check in and they were so kind and quick to help me. The shuttle service was so nice! The driver recognized other passengers running for service from mall of America and was nice enough to wait for them to finish running to the shuttle. I thought that was top notch of him.

There was nothing I didn't like. One of the elevators was out of service so the wait was a bit long... but that's nothing they could have controlled and didn't affect my stay at all.

Great beds, very comfortable, decent view, u get what u pay for with that, kind staff, helpful. the bed sheets did have like a dime sized dot of brown on it, it didn’t really bother me, I only noticed after my first night and I didn’t have a bloody nose or anything, could just be a stain that won’t come out, wasn’t a big deal to me, didn’t even complain about it. I didn’t eat from the restaurant or bar, bought a water bottle and a bag of chips total came up to 5$, it was pricey but I mean what do u expect, it’s a hotel. mall is so close, airport a good 9 min but the shuttle was a VERY useful amenity. Total surprise of a $100 security fee at check in, maybe that’s normal but I didn’t see anything about it on the website but overall its a nice place I would stay here again.

The room and bathroom was clean and spacious, loved the proximity to MSP. The bed was really cozy and I wish I could have brought the sofa home! I loved the walk in shower and mirror too! The price was very reasonable.

Not a huge issue, but when I arrived, the room temperature was 55 degrees with the ac blasting. If it were 90+ degree weather I would understand, but I arrived in the evening when it was 60ish degrees. It was a little much for this delicate Californian, but easily remedied. I found it kinda funny 😂

Beautiful room, very friendly staff, on time wakeup call, on time friendly airport shuttle. Ample towels. Newer hotel with vinyl flooring in rooms. Nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash dispenser in shower.

Poor sound proofing. I could hear person above walking around. You can hear everything in hallways. I arrived in evening for very early flight, so outside noises didn't disrupt sleep, but I could hear bells from light rail system., so I know if I had a normal wakeup time. Airplane noise would be a factor. Bed could be firmer, but as hotels go, not bad. Invest in good coffee for the lobby, add a basic dinner restaurant.

I really liked the rooms: the cleanliness, styling and quiet. I also liked the bluetooth speaker in the bathroom. Check-in was a snap. The evening atmosphere in the lobby was relaxed and enjoyable.

The morning lobby atmosphere was tense. While my family slept, I wanted a cup of coffee. The first thing when I walked off the elevator was a woman trying to usher me to the bar to look at the breakfast menu. I simply wanted coffee. Then at the coffee spot, there were grab-n-go item located on aa nearby table. It was confusing if the coffee and/or the grab-n-go items were free. After I sat down to drink my coffee I saw the sign that said the grab-n-go needed to be paid at the desk.

They need to keep the 1st floor back doorway and hallway free of spider webs and spray for spiders. I did tell a guy at the front desk and he had it cleaned because the lady at the front desk we told the day before did absolutely nothing. Also, I didn't realize I would hear the airplanes as much as I did when I was sleeping but I didn't fly into Minnesota, I drove so I didn't realize how close to the airport I was.

The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. We wished we had checked the mattress brand to purchase one. The location is directly across from the light rail station so it was very convenient to get into the city. The room is large and so is the shower.

4 days is too long to go without house keeping services. There are no closet doors so you are looking at the clothes and ironing board, the toilet paper holder is in a strange location.

The bathroom was nice, the Bluetooth speaker in the mirror was a fun touch. The chaise lounge was nice for extra seating. Good TV selection, appreciated the microwave and mini fridge in the room. The beds were comfortable and four pillows on each bed was appreciated. Even though the airport was right behind the hotel, the noise of airplanes never woke us up or bothered us. We were well within walking distance of the mall, and could also call the hotel shuttle at the end of the night.

The breakfast was below par. The food quality was less than what I would have expected for paying that much. I continental breakfast would have been better than what I ordered and paid for. There was no kitchen or weight staff that I could see, the general manager took our order and was the one to attempt to check us out at the end of the meal. She was not familiar with the cash register and ended up only charging us for one meal as a way to make up for the delay and confusion.

What breakfast? Beds were very comfortable. Location was good. I liked the shower.

I could hear everything that happened in the room above mine, from the pacing back and forth to raising and lowering the shades to verbal arguments the couple were having. On day two the parking lot was full. After circling repeatedly and not finding a spot I went into the lobby to find another person ahead of me with the same complaint. I was told to park in the overflow lot. It would be nice if the room included some written information regarding the restaurant or lack of, breakfast options, nearby attractions with directions to them, information on how to work the TV.
