Quality Inn & Suites Kansas City Downtown

Cleanliness was exactly as expected, everything in place and up to spec. Great price only for the location, close to many mainstream KC attractions like Power and Light and various breweries/restaurants.

Didn't feel very safe walking around the neighborhood, but that was not fault of the hotel's, just unfortunate placement. Walls were very thin and could hear every argument in the lobby as well as emergency sirens that were excruciatingly loud. AC did not work and room was very hot during sleeping.

I loved seeing an obviously old building being repurposed and made beautiful again! The room was quirky and fun, featuring original woodwork and old-timey nooks and crannies along with a seriously comfortable bed. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the hot water was HOT. At breakfast in the dining area, I found a variety of options. Even a few that fit into my weird dietary restrictions, which is always a pleasant surprise. And omg! I forget to mention the marble stairs! I actually swooned a little when I saw them. I had an unexpectedly excellent stay and will be back soon. If anyone sees a purple haired lady roaming the hallways, I swear I’m harmless and probably a little giddy from architectural bliss.

It’s a trivial but also a pet peeve…sloppy, careless painting. I was saddened to see fresh paint on poorly prepped surfaces.

This hotel really exceeded my expectations for a Quality Inn. The hotel rooms were clean and included a kitchenette. The crown molding and other decorative touches made for a beautiful space. There was also an outdoor courtyard to walk dogs. Finally, the hotel was very close to downtown KC. Our destination for the evening was less than 2 miles up the road.

Parking lot is a bit small for larger vehicles, especially when the lot is full. However, it would not deter me from staying here again.

Spacious rooms, very clean, breakfast was good, and the staff is amazing! They go above & beyond & exceeded my expectations! I will stay there again’

Not being able to turn on air conditioner even though it was cool outside. I like to sleep in a cooler room plus set room temp myself.

Very interesting layout to the room, was more like a suite. Everything was clean and quiet. Staff was very nice.

Parking is a challenge, road construction going on outside and our room was on a floor that was being renovated. Beds could have been a little more comfy but weren't terrible.

The gentleman when we checked in on the 9th was helpful and accommodating. You could tell that he was happy to help in any way he could.

The gentleman at the desk Saturday evening the 10th was terrible. When I explained to him that housekeeping had not stopped by our room and asked him if I could get some towels and washcloths. He told me that housekeeping would be that tomorrow and I could try again. I was amazed at his response and asked him if he could please go get me towels and washcloths because I needed them tonight. he brought me small towels and pillow cases the first try and had to go back for large towels and washcloths and was on a video phone call the whole time.

The breakfast was nice. Coffee was great. Location was great.

I noticed hair in the shower drain, the carpet against the wall wasn't cleaned, and a pillowcase had a stain. Also, some of the counter and other surfaces looked like they hadn't been wiped.

It was a cool building.

Check in time wasn't until 4pm which we were able to get in earlier. What I didn't like was after our concert up the street the front door was locked and we had to get the front desk clerk to let us in. We were not told we couldn't get into the main hotel door after midnight. I'm. sure a sign is posted but I've never heard of this.

Location was excellent. We liked that there was parking, and we noticed that there was security cameras facing the parking lots, which we appreciated.

The hallway to our room was a little spooky and there was stuff (construction or housekeeping) laid out in the hallway, which was not the most homey.

Nice breakfast with fruit.

Building works at the hotel when we stayed there which meant workers were running on the scaffolding in front of our room No discount despite this. Entry cards for the room did not work 2 times in a day which meant returning to the reception each time.
