The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We booked a 2 bedroom Suite for 4 nights and the rooms were spacious and clean. We were delighted with the kitchen and eating area. The living room was spacious enough to hold five plus three visitors. I liked that each bedroom and the living area had their own air conditioner, that was an unexpected bonus. We were a few steps to the town and were very close to the market. We travelled with our small pup and they were so accommodating. The internet was fast!

The suite was very nice and homey. Extremely clean and perfectly stocked. The suite was nicely decorated with wildlife art. The staff were very helpful with dinner recommendations and directions to get around town. The amenities are suited for a longer stay and very family friendly. The BBQ area would be fun to use if we stayed longer with family. With all the outdoor activities available in the area it would be a great choice to use The Yellowstone Gateway Inn as “home base” for excursions into Yellowstone Park and for exploring the wonderful Gardiner area.

The air conditioning units were a little loud.

Check out time is 10:00 am Seems a little early especially considering that check-in isn’t until 4:00 pm. Most hotels have an 11 or 12 check out time. 10 just seems a little early and we had a housekeeper open the door with her key at 9:35 AM. If check out is at 10 o’clock, they really shouldn’t be barging in until after 10, especially since we had to return the room key (actual key) when checking out. They should assume people are still in the room if the key hasn’t been turned in. I didn’t hear any knock either, just a rustling of getting the door open and then it catching on the inside chain lock. Luckily I heard them and was dressed. 

Spacious Well stocked kitchen and very clean cutlery plates and saucepans etc .we could cook for ourselves which was great after a week of diners . The supermarket opposite was also excellent . It was lovely to meet the mummy dear and her 2 kids and the elk also popped in for a visit. The bathroom had all the toiletries and I especially liked the make up remover wipes as mine had run out. Staff Cindy and Sam and all the young staff picking the fruit from the trees were very nice and friendly.

The decor and especially in the bedroom was a bit tired.

the lady at the front desk was incredibly kind, generous, accommodating with her time and local knowledge. she even proactively called us to make sure we weren’t going to get there too late to eat

honestly, it was almost perfect for location, price, and the kindness. if we had to find anything at all the heater in the master bedroom was broken but they proactively told us that and had a portable heater in the closet that worked great. we were never cold. a few kernels of popcorn were on the floor when we first came in. the tv remote was a bit worn out. these are all picky things and not a big deal

We got the king bed suite and while initially concerned (because you access the parking lot via a dirt road alley) we stepped into what felt like someone's home. There was no detail overlooked. It was like visiting our friends grandparent's mountain cabin!! Cozy and great proximity to Mammoth Hot-springs and the Roosevelt Arch

Alarming initial appearance especially when you arrive after dark. I suspect the standard rooms might be rather small.

We LOVED this property! Will definitely stay here again, everytime we come to Yellowstone. The owner was so nice. The facility and rooms were AMAZING! So big and so comfortable. A fantastic deal for the price. The playground was great. And they even had deer roaming around. The Mountain View was amazing, and the town of Gardiner was so sweet. Can’t wait to visit again.

Beautiful location, lovely Mountain Views, spacious property so well equipped with everything you could need. Comfortable beds with good linens, huge living room, nice bathroom. Good laundry facilities. Excellent supermarket right across the road and a good place to eat across the road too. Elk visiting the doorstep!

Nothing - it was a lovely base - wish we could’ve stayed longer!

very clean, comfortable and beautiful accommodations with great value for the price. The suite was large with beautiful wildlife photographs on the wall and a spacious lovely master bedroom. I instantly felt at home. The management was communicative and kind. They left the key waiting for me and made everything very convenient. There was a beautiful deer snacking on grass outside my room in the morning, and I got to talk to her and take selfies with her so close as if we were having breakfast together at the same little table. The environs were very peaceful, and all the adventure spots and businesses are right next door. I highly recommend this home away from home, and I can’t wait to go back!

We loved the whole experience! The location was perfect (less than 5 minute drive to the north entrance to Yellowstone) and beautiful. It felt like we were staying in someone's cozy home rather than a hotel. Michael was super helpful to us as we were driving to Gardiner in the midst of a snowstorm. He checked the weather and road conditions to guide us safely to the hotel. Without his confidence and calm demeanor, we likely would have turned around and gone back to Bozeman. The room was comfortable, clean, warm and incredibly spacious. We would definitely stay here again.
