Location near Death Valley NP. Price for regular gas at pumps on site here was much lower than anywhere else west (direction we were headed) within a 2 hour drive. Friendly and helpful cashiers (we met 2) in the 24-hour convenience store. Two sinks in our ground floor room - one in bedroom with an ottoman for sitting in addition to the one in the bathroom. We didn’t use room tv, casino, outdoor pool or hot tub, cafe, or laundry, but all were available.

Nothing. I could wish for a microwave in the room. And perhaps for plain foods like fresh fruit or peanut butter & jelly & bread in the convenience store. But that would be remarkable for such a small place. We did buy premade sandwiches there and they were ok, plus they cost less than at the store inside Death Valley NP.

The location was great, felt like a little oasis in the middle of the desert. It was close enough to the death valley park that we were able to go see the sunrise at a very nice scenic location, within about a 30-ish minute drive. The casino part was cool and quite fun, with a bar and a jukebox and all kinds of minimum wagers (all electronic machines). The room was impeccable, great AC, a fridge, super clean, nice bed, good bathroom, great beds. The restaurant was excellent, great homemade food at good prices, with good service. We had dinner there and we had actually brought food for the next day but we decided to eat there again instead, we liked it that much. In such a remote area I expected things to be more expensive but prices were very decent (except maybe the 4$ coffee! but that's par for the course). Beautiful building all around, nice hallways and old-fashioned decor, beautiful exterior lights, very interesting. The ice machine worked great, always a plus for me. I appreciated the 24-hour desk, especially in such an area, even though I didn't need it.

Didn't realize how much better the "balcony" rooms were from the website, for a rather small price difference. In person you actually see how these rooms allow you to just go out and see the glorious milky way over the desert mountains in the comfort of your room balcony, while the non-balcony rooms on the other side have a window view of basically nothing. This isn't really a fault on the hotel's part, just something I hadn't realised beforehand. Also be aware it is a hotel not a motel, so you do not have direct access to your room from the parking, you have to go through the hallways. Again not really a negative, just something to know. Other than that I have no complaints really!

The restaurant opened up early enough to eat breakfast and stayed open until 10 pm so we were able to enjoy a late dinner on both nights while also enjoying the live entertainment coming from the bar. Servers were super friendly and all of the food we tried came out hot. Our food was delicious and the portions were generous. Menu prices were affordable and the nice selection of snacks, meals and desserts were exactly what we were looking for each night after enjoying a great day out exploring the area. The 24 hour convenience store was a bonus and always had exactly what we needed, when we needed it. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable king sized bed. Our room was on the first floor with an amazing view of the pond and we were happily surprised when we could not hear the music coming from the casino. We both were able to get a great night's rest. Both the TV and fridge worked great and so did the A/C. The hot tub was so relaxing and the pool was large enough for kids to play on one side and adults to relax on the other side. There is a gas station, lots of lighted parking out front and a cow right before you turn in so you won't miss it! Death Valley National park is only a short drive away and totally worth visiting.

Poolside towel availability would have been nice. Pool fence was in disrepair in one area and allowed people to access the pool area without using the gate. If traveling with children this could pose a dangerous risk of drowning.

Longstreet was our main jumping off point for visiting Death Valley N.P. We had a lovely stay. The two women at the front desk, Laura & Adrianna, were particularly friendly, helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to stay in a room on the back (oasis) side of the hotel, which was wonderful, even though we hadn't explicitly booked such a room. The restaurant had an extensive menu with a wide range of offerings. The breakfasts and dinners we had there were both delicious and reasonably priced. Although the hotel wasn't built yesterday, all things considered, our rooms were clean, satisfactorily spacious, and maintained a pleasant, comforting theme. Furthermore, we enjoyed the western themes on display near the palm adorned pond out in back ... an oasis that included at one end ranch animals in a petting area for children as well as a small chapel for those who may have sought a place for solitude and contemplation.

It is possible that some of the customers in the casino part of the hotel were smokers, which may explain why there was a faint odor of smoke in that part of the building, even if they may not have been directly smoking indoors in the casino itself.

It was a beautiful location in the desert. Like an oasis. My husband and I didn't want to leave. The staff felt like family and there was something to do and see on the premises at every turn. You'll never experience anywhere else like this. It was comfortable and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. It felt like we were home. We needed to sleep for the night during our long drive and this place was a pleasant surprise. I can only hope we get to visit again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. Every aspect of our stay was perfect.

The room was very clean and comfortable. We loved the memory foam mattress. The pond area was charming. The inside was cute and kitschy. The ice machine had plenty of ice to scoop from the bin. Two restaurants and a little shop. No microwaves in the room but there is one in the shop that the public can use. Small fridges in the rooms. There also was an onsite gas station which was very nice to gas up before we went into Death Valley.

You can't change what I didn't like but it is worth noting that unless you ask for a first floor or an accessible room, you will have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. There is an elevator to the second floor but the hotel is what I can describe as a split level with the rooms on pretend level 1.5.

Had a nice 3 night stay in this very charming small hotel and casino when visiting Death Valley. Good amenities including pool, hot tub and a guest laudry room. The front desk staff was very helpful and insisted on giving me a discount because they had lower price on the room than I paid. They have a small petting zoo and even let our child feed the animals (buffalo, sheep, donkeys, goats). The food in the restaurant was good and there were live entertainment on the weekend.

The hotel is a bit outdated but that's what gives it it's charm :)

especially clean and comfortable, with heartfelt, surprising and amusing collectible and sculptures throughout the interior and on the exterior grounds.

the only downside to the stay was below average grades in the restaurant. the proper tires isolated location appears to make it difficult to attract and manage the wait staff. we waited awkwardly long for service and were surprised that our meal - the meatloaf and potatoes were dry, overcooked and thoroughly inedible. the restaurant aside - and maybe it was an abnegation - we wholeheartedly enjoyed every other aspect of our stay. and would highly recommend this casino/hotel sad being convenient to the Death Valley trip we took!

Great option for visitors to Death Valley, beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and desert. Room was a decent size and the gas fireplace was a huge bonus that I hadn't expected! I appreciated the helpfulness of the front desk staff. Comfy bedding and the place was nice and quiet (which I was worried about after reading other reviews) -- perhaps the time of year helped, though. Would stay here again as an alternate to one of the crazy expensive places inside Death Valley NP, though I can say that the drive to/from the park was a bit lengthy.

The room was very dim and the curtains on the door to the balcony were impossible to open, so only a bit of natural light came in through the very small window. Bathroom fan was SUPER loud. Would really have appreciated an electric kettle or coffee maker or some other kind of hot beverage accommodation within the room.

The Longstreet Inn & Casino is relatively close to the east entrance to Death Valley NP. The Inn looks fairly new although it was established in 1995. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a little restaurant in the lobby where the food was good at a good price. We had dinner and breakfast there. The casino, also in the lobby, was all machines, mostly slots. There was no trace of smoking that I could tell. The rate was fantastic considering the remote location and how expensive lodging is in Death Valley NP itself and Las Vegas.
