Courtyard by Marriott Portsmouth

The room was exceptional. Loved the extra space, couch and desk space. separate toilet /shower from the sink. Lots of electrical outlets. Bed was great.

One of the reasons we booked here was a good price and the pool. When we checked it out for location around 8:30 all seemed fine, though no one was swimming. Went back to our room and got my suit on and came to the pool, with a sign saying Pool Closed due to maintenance. Turns out it would have been opened at 10 but you wouldn't know that. Should have been posted when it would be open.

Very friendly and nice staff. Very helpful. They had a shuttle bus that took you to Downtown Portsmouth that was super convenient. Could walk it as it was only about a mile, but, the shuttle was pretty much at our beckoning call. If the shuttle was in town, just had to wait 10 minutes for it to return to the hotel to pick you up. Only thing, I do not believe the shuttle runs on Sunday mornings. Great way to drink and not drive on the weekends!!

The staff were very attentive, and would assist if there was an issue quickly and kindly. I loved the set up of the room with the balcony and outdoor chair and table. The bed was spacious and super comfortable. Maintenance staff were efficient. Overall I’m going to probably stay here most of the time when I visit Portsmouth.

some of the features of the TV in theaters movies did not work, but other than that I have no complaints.

The room was small but nice. Not worth over $200 per night. We would stay again with a discounted rate, but wouldn't be back for this price.

The only issue with the room itself was the faint smell of cigarettes and lack of linens provided for the pull out bed. We specified 3 adults when booking and had no linens for our 3rd guest.

Great location. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved having Starbucks coffee available at the hotel.

When we first checked in the room we were given the fridge didn’t work. It took a little bit but they moved us to a room that had a working fridge. We were so happy. For us this was a huge gesture. We will definitely stay again. The service and attentiveness to our problem was great. I felt like I mattered.

Location was great for quick on and off in the Portsmouth, NH and York, Maine travel sites. Staff was helpful, went out of their way to get a room location for my husband that has some special needs and also, gave us an early check in after flying into Boston on a west coast red eye. This is not my first time at the Portsmouth Courtyard, it is my place to stay when I come home to visit.

Everything was great.

My experience at Portsmouth Courtyard was good. The room was clean and comfortable: easy & accurate temperature control, spacious shower and sink with plenty of hot water & water pressure and a very comfortable bed. Also, recycling receptacles in the room, something I do not recall seeing in a hotel before. The staff was very friendly, check in was smooth without any surprises or hidden fees. The location is great! It is a quick, easy drive to downtown, the coast or shopping centers which include necessities like fuel & groceries as well as stores like Best Buy and Barnes & Noble. There are many restaurants in the area, standards like McDonalds & Applebees, but in the downtown area, a variety of restaurants with a multitude of vegitarian, vegan and gluten free options. I would stay here again without hesitation and I will recommend to others.

Great location. Staff was kind and friendly. The hotel was clean and had good amenities. Breakfast wasn’t included but we did order and it was delicious.

Some of the wood fixtures in the room were pretty beat up and could use a sand and stain.
