A very unassuming modest looking hotel from the road but a found gem once you enter your elegant and updated room. We were amazed at the size of the room, the sleep number bed, the hardwood floors, and sofa. Having arrived after 10pm in the dark of night we were more surprised in the morning when we pulled back the curtains to reveal a beautiful river view. Balconys are available and the ground floor has a wrap around deck. There was also a boat dock with Adirondack chairs for a relaxing moment of solitude. Our check-in Hostess was genuinely hospitable and friendly. She made us feel like our comfort and relaxation was their most important goal. Best surprise of our two weeks in the New England states. Don't pass this one up!!!!

The location and view were spectacular. The front desk person (Karen) was polite and attentive.

When preparing to leave, the power in the building went out making it difficult to complete our departure. They allowed us to take their blow dryer off sight so my wife could use it and we brought it back afterwards. I was hoping that they would offer us something for the inconvenience but understand that this was not their fault. We loved the place and would definitely stay here again.

Our room was gorgeous with a view of the Connecticut River and was beautifully appointed. Very clean and quiet, it was a peaceful and restful stop after a long day of travel. The setting is so peaceful.

It would be wonderful if they were able to offer breakfast or some refreshments besides coffee and tea. It seemed that no staff were readily available after check-in, but our check-in was easy and pleasant.

Hotel does not have a breakfast or vending machines. Every room faces the river and our room was very large and well decorated with newer furnishings. No every day room service but you are provided multiple days worth of linens and other necessary items. Our stay was great and this hotel is a great one to stay.

The property was in a great location, the price was very reasonable for the facilities, and the staff was incredibly friendly! The room was and felt very clean and the view was beautiful! We loved the local food scene - helped out by a list given to us at the front desk. The hotel is right behind a convenient store that seemed to be open late and early which was nice in case we needed anything last minute. We were upgraded to a riverside view which was beautiful to watch the snow fall and river freeze over on our last day. We appreciated all hotel staff we came in contact with as they were kind and helpful. Check in and out was very easy. During our wintertime visit we also appreciated the swift work to salt and plow the parking lot and nearby sidewalks!

We noticed the walls seemed to be pretty thin, this wasn’t a huge deal for us as we’re heavy sleepers and there was a 9:00 pm quiet hours rule, but it felt important to note if someone is a very light sleeper. I also would have appreciated a microwave in the room since we were there multiple days but understandable, especially in a time of Covid and smaller cleaning staff etc.., if that’s not available those were the only reasons I didn’t give it a 9.

Our room and everything we noticed inside and outside was well cleaned and organized. The staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating to our request for extra items and a special request to ask another patron to lower the volume of their television after 10pm. The hotel is in a convenient location and there are plenty of restaurants, craft breweries, distilleries, and small shops nearby.

Everything was good except for a bit of miscommunication over a previous request we had for an upper floor room. Apparently these we're not available at the price level we booked at and we didn't find out until check in. Just for a future customer service improvement, a simple email from management would have sufficed to explain this prior to our arrival so there would be no surprises or disappointment. All in all the first level room we had was very nice, spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again in the future.

You can walk or jog on a road that has very few cars. You can probably go about 1.5 miles in one direction before returning. The road is next to the river so the scenery is very nice. The room was very clean and the property well kept.

They had a problem with their advertising on the booking site. I think it was an honest mistake. That has been corrected so I'm giving them a good review. The only negative is that they don't have any breakfast and no ability to buy any food like donuts or drinks like juice at the hotel. There is a small grocery story a block away but you would have to leave the property. They do have coffee and tea in the room, so just bring some breakfast stuff in if you want it. There are also nearby restaurants.

There was no breakfast at the hotel, neither free nor otherwise. This made it take an extra hour or more each morning to get where we wanted to go, after finding somewhere for breakfast, waiting in line to get in, and then waiting for the meal to be served. The hotel has space for a breakfast room, and breakfast was obviously served there in the past. Time to get that going again!

Handy location close to a decent town of Brattleboro that has everything you need. Beautiful rooms especially ours with the balcony and wooden floors and river view. A very handy beer and convenient store literally on the property.

Rooms with a kitchen should have a microwave and a mirror outside of the bathroom as a minimum. The wooden floors make for not the most tranquil stay especially elephants above us! More rugs needed. Also a bar onsite even if no kitchen open would have been nice. I understand that due to Covid this may have been the case!

Hotel was very nice and clean. Great value for the price. Only problem I experienced was that the hotel uses sleep number beds and there was an issue with the one in my room, resulting in it being extremely firm and slightly uncomfortable but my friends staying in the room over said their bed was amazing so I guess I was just unlucky. Staff was very helpful, even in the middle of the night. It is a great place to crash if you’re skiing in southern vermont when all of the inn’s on route 100 are booked
