CJ the General Manager was very friendly and helped me with local tips (where to eat, where to go.) He was very honest too. He found apple ear pods on the entrance steps, and asked if they belonged to me - I was nearby the steps in a lounge chair. I thought that was really nice. All the people that worked the front desk were very friendly. On our way out, just after check-out, we thought we packed everything, and the lady working the front desk found something left behind in our room and asked if it was ours, which it was. I thought that was really nice. The place had a charm to it. And it was on a quiet road, and yet within easy walking distance to the beach. My family had a great time here and we would return in a second.

The location was perfect and so was the view. They provided the rooms with toiletries which I appreciated! The staff was extremely welcoming. They always presented with a smile and were very helpful assuring I was having a good stay.

The key for my room wasn't working. It took many attempts until it'd finally let me in the room. Maybe an updated key or key reader would be perfect. It was a bit of a hassle but we made it work. Aside from this there was some slight staining on the bedsheets/pillowcases.

The manager woman at the hotel was beyond compare. We told her that two of us were disabled and could not climb stairs. She gave us a full refund and suggested other hotels. We ended up staying at a hotel that we stay at every year. As the result of poor weather report, , that hotel came down $300 for that weekend. Belmar gave us a great price a few months before the trip. Even though we were unable to stay I would recommend this hotel to any able bodied person of any age. It is beautiful and quaint. I will never forget how this woman helped us. Thank you Ma'am!

All rooms upstairs

I always like that it's one block from the beach. I totally forgot they have breakfast on the weekends. Kids enjoy bagels and donuts.. while I enjoy my kcups.

1st time I was there was 2 years ago and I stayed on the other side (the left) those rooms were more spacious, had a wall between 2 beds and a microwave. This time I stayed on the right side and the beds were so close together also no microwave. Also complained to front desk a few times about kids above me jumping off beds. If I have to announce the ages of my kids then you should know to put younger ones below me. My kids are 10 and up.

We loved the staff. CJ made our entire trip. He was kind to our son and daughter. He also went out of his way to make sure we had parking close by and to make sure our beach things were stored so we didn’t have to put it in our car or carry it to our room. CJ even walked to the beach with us to take a picture of our whole group together. He gave us many recommendations on places to eat as well. We cannot say enough nice things about him.

The only thing I didn’t like was our last night people above us were loud. But that wasn’t the hotels fault.

The location was perfect for going to the beach…just a block and a half away from the beach. Restaurants were just a few blocks on the boardwalk or if you go to Main Street you can find some good eateries.

If you are older and like the convenience of an elevator, this establishment doesn’t have one. You can always ask to see if they have a room on the main floor.

So it’s no frills for sure. Tiny rooms, with nothing fancy but that ought to be your expectation at this price point walking distance from one of the best beaches on the north Jersey shore. For a Saturday night in June to pay less than $275 is kind of unheard of. It was old and a little dated, but it was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Bring an extra pillow and towel and you’re set to enjoy an affordable time away without breaking the bank. Nice little mini fridge to store your beach picnic and donuts coffee bagels in the AM.

I love to stay in this hotel. Is worth every penny because is a clean place to rest and shower and is very close to the beach. Besides, the price is the most affordable in the season. Take a walk on the board walk, enjoy the beach and come to a clean place to sleep and shower.

Bel mar in was a great little place for a solo getaway. Room was clean and staff was kind. Great location to the beach!

While the parking is free, I spent 2 hours of my first day trying to find parking, and then walking over a mile to the inn.

Location is great for going to beach or walking to Main street. Room and hallways were clean. Free ice available in the lobby and fridge in room.

This hotel needs an update to make it look a bit more modern. It would be nice for TVs to have Netflix included. New mattresses and pillows are needed as beds were not very comfortable. Also, shower was very small.
