Our room was lovely and well furnished. The bed was plush and had plenty of pillows. There were extra blankets stored in the closet. I generally love more blankets, but didn’t need them as the bed was already quite comfortable. While my husband was disappointed that there was not a shower, the very large garden tub was wonderful for me. It is large enough for a married couple to enjoy. Bath robes were even provided. The residence overall was nice, quiet and comfortable. The kitchen has snacks, similar to what you would find at a nice spa. Water, nuts, fruit, hot drinks and even cake was available. The courtyard was nice and had plenty of seating both on a patio and in the yard. If not for the mosquitoes, which can’t be controlled, I would have sat there longer. I loved the gentle music that played in the morning in the downstairs. Very lovely atmosphere. The home is historical, with much brick and wood, and you will, perhaps, enjoy the quirkiness of settled (slightly slanted) doorways and floors 😊 If in the area again, I would certainly stay at the Lily Inn.
Breakfast was not as wonderful as I expected it to be. There were not as many offerings as expected. There was oatmeal with a variety of add ins, eggs, turkey bacon, sliced strawberries, several juices and hot drinks. It would have been nice to have biscuits/toast, pancakes or French toast to make a more substantial meal. On the upside, we were contacted before arrival regarding dietary restrictions. We have none, but as a mom of children with allergies, the thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.

Beautifully appointed. Comfortable beds. Amazing staff. Out of this world breakfast. Located in the historic district of Burlington with so much character.
Our shower was a real disappointment. The showerhead and curtain were rigged up over an old style bathtub. The water in the tub did not drain out very fast so we were standing in water while we showered. Once the shower curtain is pulled shut there’s nothing to hang onto while you’re showering and the bottom of the tub was a bit slippery. everything else was wonderful. Too bad they cut corners on the shower arrangement in our room. This is the only reason I did not give the place a nine or 10 score.

Wonderful house, super beautiful and special. The room was big and included a sofa and table. Everything perfectly clean. The breakfast was very tasty and had many options. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom even had bathrobes. Restaurants in walking distance. We would have loved to stay longer!
We found the room to be quite cold and were not able to change the temperature (central AC for the whole floor it seems). Luckily it became a bit warmer over night.

This lovely little Inn was so pretty and well kept. Many antiques to look at. We enjoyed playing scrabble and watching tv in the sitting room on our floor, as we were trying to avoid being on our phones in our own little world. Breakfast was cooked hot and fresh with an additional offering of freshly baked biscuits and cinnamon rolls as well as yogurt and fruit. Sanee was a wonderful host and very friendly. She made us feel like we were long time friends or family. I would definitely stay here again if venturing to the area.
There was nothing about the Inn that we didn't like! We were surprised, however, that all of the nice little shops in the few blocks we walked closed very early (like 4-5 pm) or were not open at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon.

Very cozy B&B with charming antique furnishings but nicely renovated bathrooms & kitchen. Our four-poster queen bed was super comfortable too. Candace was our wonderful host & prepared a tasty breakfast with made-to-order eggs!
The gas fireplace seemed like it would be a lovely feature, but after wrestling with it for a long time to get it to work, the result was underwhelming (basically just like having a propane stove turned up high) -- luckily the rooms are charming enough without it!

Quiet, calm, clean, comfortable andand relaxing. The entire atmosphere was one of staying at the house of a friend. You could stop by the kitchen and grab a light snack at day's end or a bottle of water. My one regret is my schedule didn't permit me to have breakfast. I stopped down as Candice was making it and it was obvious it would have been great.

It is a unique place. Located in historical building standing there more than 300yrs. Beautiful in all details. Clean. I mean clean clean. No stinky carpeting. Nothing like that. Fully equipped kitchen so you ratcher consider this as appartment too. Very nice social spaces: dining room, living room... Breakfast served, you can ask what you like. Please don't get me wrong but this is the best place I visited in USA in whole my life and I was in many places there. Burlington is also very unique. I just cannot believe that I found this place just by accident.
I will not find anything by force

We liked Candace. She went out of her way to answer our questions prior to arrival, greeted us warmly, shared useful information with us and assisted us in every possible way. This was our first stay at a B n B, and it turned out to be an excellent experience.
There were a few spots that could use some paint touch ups.., like bathroom floor molding and stair risers.

Delightful, warm, attentive staff. Beyond gorgeous, spacious comfortable room. The entire house was spectacular. Beautifully appointed and historic. I want to live there!! Quiet. Very comfortable bed. Lovely sitting area with fireplace. Located on the Main Street in the little town with the riverfront less than a block away. Breakfast cooked to order. Excellent coffee. Snacks and beverages available 24/7. Spacious sitting room with large screen TV and comfortable furnishings across from our room. Hope we can get back there when we have more time.
I shared with them personally the following. The bed was so high that we needed a step stool to get in it. We are not young and I was afraid I might fall trying to get out of bed in the middle of the night. I guess we could have asked for a different room. Threshold to bathroom raised enough to be a trip hazard. Bathmat a trip hazard as it slid around. VERY little space for toiletries. Two people, one luggage rack. Steep, narrow staircase to second floor. No on-site parking.

Location - very pretty place, easy parking, and a lovely room with twin beds (which is so hard to find at B&B'S) that included a sitting area with private bathroom. Sanee was lovely and helpful, responding to our texts efficiently as she doesn't stay on the premises.
The room was very comfortable, but extra blankets in the closet would have been appreciated, since my sister felt cold during the night (no thermostat in the room).
