We stayed in the annex building so not in the main house. The room we reserved is considered a corporate suite. It was clean, comfortable and fairly spacious. Breakfast was served in the main house so we did spend some time there. When we checked in we were told to help ourselves to anything in the fridge and when we opened it, it had some fresh fruit, juices, milk, almond milk, half & half as well as a homemade key lime pie. The breakfast was self-serve with choices including cereals, hard boiled eggs, breads, bagels, slices of banana bread, and muffins. There were 2 juices, as well as teas and coffee. There's plenty of seating options including a covered, outdoor porch as well as a garden area.

While our room was great, we would have liked to stay in the main house. The interior architecture on the ground floor was really pretty so we thought the guest rooms were probably equally charming.

A step back in time feel to this charming inn . A perfect location for our brief visit to Albany One block away from a lovely wine and spirits shop and a short walk to perhaps the best Thai food in North America! Reserved parking is key in this location and the continental breakfast was all that we needed to start the day! We stayed in a sixth floor suite in the annex (has an elevator) and the white noise of the ac covered the sounds of the early morning street activities others found disquieting. An early rrider myself I appreciated the keurig in our suite as my wife enjoyed her sleep.

The facilities are very nice. My room (606 in Washington House) was spacious and well appointed. The breakfast was good. It’s well located with any easy walk to Empire State Plaza and some nice restaurants on Lark St.

Check out was very difficult. I called out many times however no one came to the kitchen. I even went to the front door and rang the bell. It went to voicemail so I left a message. I then sent a text message to let them know that the key was on the kitchen bench. I had a train to catch so couldn’t waste any more time.

love the historic vibes. The location was very central and there were so many amazing local places to eat. It is important to note that the parking is no directly on the site but about a half block away from the hotel building. This did catch us off guard but was not an issue at all. The staff was available via text and very quick to respond. They were hospitable and thorough in everything they did. Honestly would have expected to pay far more for such a unique experience!

The central location does mean there is a lot of city noise at all hours of the day and night. Lots of ambulance sirens. We think there was a hospital nearby

Excellent time at The Morgan State House. The house is stunning and historic. I read the paper by the window surrounded by beautiful fresh tulips every morning. Delicious coffee from local cafe The Daily Grind and there were homemade treats in the fridge and plenty of bottles of water every day. My room was spacious and wicked comfortable. There was a lot of rain and even snow during my April visit so I enjoyed the peace of the main house even more during this time. Chuck was lovely and so accommodating after I arrived a few hours later than expected. I'll be back! Thank you!

The Morgan State Inn is a charming and unique hotel in the heart of Albany. We felt that we got to know Albany a little more just from staying in this beautiful building. Plus, the staff member who received us, told us a little bit of the story and its previous owner.s Our room was cozy and clean and we slept very comfortably. The breakfast was generous and abundant, with lots of delicious options to choose from (good for vegans too!). Lastly, I want to mention that everyone working there was welcoming, warm and super helpful.

Set in the historic section of Albany New Yor,k, across from Washington Square Park. Beautiful area and beautiful architecture throughout the area, both inside the rooms and outside. Good continental breakfast is offered on the main area of the Inn with indoor and outdoor seating in the back garden. It us a pleasant experience.

Amenities within the room were scarce in the area of bar soap and shampoo. I recommend bringing your own. The pandemic created a shutdown of businesses in walking distance in the area. I would recommend taxis or your own car to get around. Parking is available for a small daily fee through the Inn.

Everything was great! The buildings have so much historic charm! The staff is super friendly and helpful! The beds are amazing and soft, so are the pillows. The rooms are beautiful and quiet! The location is so convenient to downtown, Washington Park, and several restaurants. Cute garden and patio in the back for breakfast. Parking is free on the weekends in all of Albany. A great help. The stay was worth every penny!

My only complaint is the water pressure, but it only applies to taking a bath. It took along time to fill the tub halfway, but it's a deep tub. It was fine for taking a shower, not a lot of pressure but sufficient.

Lovely, well maintained old brownstone property in the heart of the city! We stayed in the Annex building. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Hosts were delightful! Lots of restaurant options within a few blocks. Self serve breakfast was delicious. We used the private parking option for our overnight stay. Had we reason to be in Albany for more that one night we would have stayed here the whole time.

Check-in is super easy and the location of the place is perfect as it is right on the park and within walking distance to so much in downtown Albany. The room was very spacious. There is breakfast in the main building (muffins, fruit, english muffins, juices, waters, etc.) and if you want something else, there is tons of other options a few blocks away. If you drive, parking is $10 a night or you can park in the park itself (just pay attention to the signs but otherwise pretty easy to find a spot.) Have stayed here before and definitely will stay here again in the future!

It might be a personal preference but the pillows were way too soft for my liking (not much to them at all)
