The location was the best. Easy to get around the area and come back for snacks or drop off packages. Parked out back of the hotel and walked everywhere. Excellent location for baseball hall of fame and Doubleday Field. Would stay again for convenience.

The hotel is older so if you are looking for certain amenities they don’t have those. Bathroom was small and the bed was hard, but the room itself was large. Since it is older you just have to manage expectations and for us the location beat the very small dislikes.

the location of the Tunnicliff cannot be beat. We went during HOF weekend so you are going to pay a bit more. BUT the ability to walk to the HOF Museum, parade, and other venues was well worth it. It is a historic inn. So with that comes stairs and slightly uneven floors. The room was large with a very comfy king size bed, mini fridge and large TV. I had NO issues with the WiFi. I was so glad we chose the Tunnicliff inn. Also, the staff was amazing and very helpful. Thank you!

The inn's location is great. Right around the corner from Main Street Cooperstown, about a 2-3 minute walk to the HOF museum. Based on earlier reviews (we were there 10/2023) I was a little skeptical. We were pleasantly surprised. We were upgraded to a king room. As expected, it was up one flight of stairs with no elevator. (better than two flights to the queen rooms). The building is old, but did not smell musty or feel icky at all. The room was large, with a king bed, refrigerator, and sofa, and desk. It was very roomy. As others have said the floor sloped a bit, not an issue. The carpet was clean. The room was clean. The bathroom was tiny (shower very tiny) but functional. Small soap/shampoo/lotion was provided. The bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of outlets/usb ports for charging. Limited parking was available at the back door to the hotel, very convenient. No breakfast provided. The manager/front desk was very nice and helpful. I would stay there again. The price was lower than others and very convenient.

Coffee/continental breakfast would be nice to have, but we knew that would not be the case ahead of time. There are coffee shops around. An elevator would be nice, hard to lug suitcases up stairs.

There is no breakfast served, but there is a yummy cafe across the street. The location was great - a 1/2 block from the Baseball Hall of Fame. Our room was clean. It was up one flight of steps and there is no elevator.

We were told that check in was only up till 9:00pm. It was difficult for us to make that time because we were coming from a distance and could not leave before 5:00pm. We had to call the hotel and explain and they finally accommodated us. Check in should be till at least 10:00pm. The interior of the building is fine, but the exterior needs help.

We were up graded to a larger room and on first floor (only two guests - off season) The Stagecoach Coffee across the street is an ideal breakfast shop (breakfast not offered at this time in the hotel) If you like Amy's in Brattleboro, VT you'll like the Stage coach with patio dining to boot. Nice city park next to the Tunnicliff. Right at the flag pole and only a couple of blocks from the BB Hall of Fame. Parking is included and right at the back door. The sofa in the room and the desk were a plus.

The bathroom was pretty small, but you have to keep in mind that renovating early hotels (1800s) to have a bath in everyroom is a tough job.

Nice old Inn. Comfortable and super clean! We had a great stay. Tom was super helpful with parking and where things were. He was honest about our room options due to me bringing a bike with me, he stated. The bathroom is small, but you won't have to carry your bike up 2 flights of stairs. Yes, the bathroom was small, but had everything we needed. Would stay there again.

It's an old structure, so the walls were slightly thin, and the floors were slightly creaky. But nothing enough to make us uave any issies

Location Location Location!! It was right in town and we walked everywhere we wanted to go. It was a lovely older space that fit the theme of the town and was clean, comfortable and large!

There weren't many amenities in the hotel and the shower was smaller, however it was what we expected from an older room. I would highly recommend the hotel and these things did not have a large impact on our stay.

It was with steps of the Baseball Hall of Fame and downtown. Across the street from a great place to get coffee and croissants. The hotel itself was well kept but it is a "historic" building...not a fancy chain hotel. We were greeted by a friendly man (owner?) and were given a nice room. Parking was convenient in the back of the hotel. Overall, it satisfied our needs.

They gave me a free upgrade to a room with a king-sized bed, even though I did not request it. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Parking was directly behind the hotel, so it was a 10 ft walk to get inside. The hotel is an old building with a historic style in the center of downtown Cooperstown, and even though the interior areas outside of the room appear a bit dingy, the hotel has a comfortable, homey feel. The manager and staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful. As I drove up to the hotel, I saw Tom (manager or owner?) waiting for me outside in front of the hotel in the freezing, snowy weather, just to guide me to where I should park. What a great first impression! The location could not be better, being in the center of downtown Cooperstown.

The only negative I have about my stay at the Tunnicliff Inn is that the shower is extremely small. I am an average size guy, and I only had a few inches between my shoulders and the shower walls. I needed to crouch down to wash my lower legs and feet because there was not enough space to bend over. It was not a big inconvenience for me, but if you are a large person, it could be a very unpleasant bathing experience for you. I do not know if the other rooms have the same size shower.
