The Village Motel is clean and quiet and had rooms during the summer period when rooms closer to my worksite in Cooperstown (about 20 mins away) were expensive and in short supply. It appears to be a classic American "Mom and Pop" operation with both on site. It's not the Ritz, but I slept well and was awakened by the birds in the meadow behind my room in the morning. The morning drive to Cooperstown is beautiful and pastoral.
The village of Richfield Springs is a bit of a food dessert after 4 or 5 pm, not too many places for a traveler to eat if you work past 6, so plan to eat elsewhere. If you're desperate, there's one Chinese take-out place within walking distance on the main drag where, humorously, it seems you have to order food by item number and no menu changes are permitted. I got a giant vat of tofu in brown sauce which I ate back at my room out of the hotel Dixie cup. They do have chopsticks but you have to request them. There is also a bar, but I didn't go in it, and a pizza place of uncertain hours.

Our room was clean and spacious. Parking very easy and convenient. Nancy absolutely fabulous! Anything we needed she was there. Check in quick and easy. We truly did like our stay there.
We traveled for baseball (Cooperstown), it was a bit of a drive probably 30 minutes out. The beds were not comfortable - would be my main con. We did book a few months in advance for our trip and were a little bummed that the price substantially dropped a week prior to our leaving.

The Village Motel doesn't look like much from the road, but our room was new and clean and excellent in every way. The room (11) was three times the size of the other rooms, with two comfortable beds, plenty of light and electrical outlets, a full-size refrigerator/freezer, dining table, drawers and shelves and a closet. There was free WiFi. Parking was easy. The bathroom was large and modern and the shower was great. We'll stay here again.
The room has a coffee maker, but I had to ask for coffee the night before.

There was not any complimentary breakfast...not necessary in our case...but fridge, microwave and very convenient coffee maker in the room which met our needs. The motel, small and on one level...was impeccably maintained by very conscientious independent owners. A lot of attention of details inside and out. Facility ice machine was temporarily inoperable...but owners made sure ice cube trays were in the room freezer...and provided complimentary bottle water for guests. Very accessible to activities and amenities of the town.

It was great I have lived there for most of my life. We traveled back for my mothers grave site services. The room was super clean and well stocked with towels etc. The owners were great also, we never worried about any of our stuff that we left in the room. We will stay there again next year.

This is a family run Motel in Richfield Springs! What is really great about it, is the fact that it is close to Cooperstown, in which the Hotels in that area are really high, because it is a Tourist spot, however, staying here is lower priced and quitier than there, but close enough to go ! The room is small, but comfortable and clean and has a fridge and microwave, desk, and chairs! When I visit, usually stay here, nothing fancy, perfect for relaxing and sleeping and restaurants are within walking distance as well! The owners are friendly as well!
Nothing!

The location was nice nestled right on a main road, the room was clean and well taken care of. This motel is older but the owners have put in a lot of work to make it look nice and feel comfortable.
The only issue with the room was the walls are thin so when people moved around outside you could hear it like they were in the room.

Good deal and clean.
The air-conditioner was super loud and so high up on the wall, I had to stand on a chair to adjust it finally around 4 AM. It had been on fan setting and turned on and off all night long, worst sleep in a long time! I am an older person and should not be using a chair as a ladder. The office closes early, so if you have not checked in, you will be out of luck.

Enjoyed the easy access to my motel room. Room was very spacious and cozy. I also really enjoyed the two water bottles that were in the mini fridge for my partner and I. I've been traveling constantly throughout this entire month and not one hotel room I've stayed in thus far had thought to do that. I always wake up needing a glass of water, so that small gesture was extremely appreciated. It's not anything overly special, but it's the little things like that that make a difference for me as a guest. Also, really appreciated the late check-in availability of 11:00 p.m. My partner and I got stuck in bad storms during our travels and significantly delayed our arrival time. Absolutely no issues with motel staff.
