Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Syracuse Dewitt

The hotel was a little surprise. It was clean, quaint and easily accessible by car. The treats on arrival at reception were a hit with the kids. Absolutely loved that there was ample free parking. A rare find in the US. There is Chuck E Cheese just before the hotel driveway, which would be convenient for long stays with kids.

The breakfast was a little limited. With travellers from around the world, it would be great to have non-pork options, lactose free milk for kids with allergies, as one is not able to buy these on the go when travelling. The milk was also cold. The hot beverage options could also be increased, only tea and coffee and it was a cold. there was only one patron on duty. Although very helpful, it meant delays in replenishing items. The hotel drive in entryway sign can be a little misleading. It might be prudent to place it right at the entrance and not the driveway before.

Approaching the Hampton driveway, we hit a pot hole that caused a flat tire. Even though there was a snow storm, AAA was there in 3 minutes to put on the donut tire. India who was working at the desk could not have been more helpful and sympathetic. Saturday morning my husband was able to purchase a new tire with her information as to the closest vendor and we were able to keep our plans with our Granddaughter at the university the reason for our stay. Sunday breakfast was exceptional and staff beyond helpful. The entire hotel was so very quiet and clean.

Nothing pertaining to the facility and staff. One guest Monday morning had a small dog which she brought into the breakfast food area instead of securing it away from the food.

Very clean, modern, the best continental breakfast we've had (omelets, fresh waffles, yogurt, muffins, cereal etc), different coffees available, good variety of tea. Beautiful dining area and decor.

We didn't dislike anything. One suggestion: we have a plug-in hybrid vehicle, a charging station on the premises would have been a nice plus, but no big deal!

The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable - more like a small apartment than a hotel room - plenty of room for my things and to get settled. It was a great value! Breakfast is always delicious at a Hampton Inn - they go above and beyond to create a great spread and homey atmosphere.

When I checked in, the clerk gave me a few options for rooms - I told him I had no preference, and he booked me...right next to a woman who had already been complained about in the hotel. We were there on a Wednesday evening in February - I can't imagine the hotel was very booked. I don't really understand why they would have put us there, knowing that others had complained about the noise from the woman's room. Luckily, the staff present on the night we complained was very friendly and attentive, and moved us as well as upgrading us to a better room. I appreciated their handling of this concern.

Staff was amazing! Very polite and helpful. Beds were super comfortable and clean.

Floors in the room were not clean. Turned the bottom of my socks brown, the bathroom built in shampoo and conditioner were both empty. We had our own so it wasn't a big deal. This wasnt an issue but we upgraded to a larger room and it was the handicapped accessible room. It should have been kept for someone that needed it. Tried to move but the whole hotel was booked so we stayed in the room.

The staff could have been friendlier. This is the first hotel in our trip that I was disappointed in the staff. We were greeted upon arrival but might as well been a machine at the desk. The morning staff member was even worse and I felt like he went out of his way to avoid interacting anyone and didn’t even make eye contact with anyone. Absolutely no”Good Morning” I was not impressed at all. It made the hotel feel cold.

The property was easy to get to. The rooms were of a good size and in good condition. The afternoon front desk lady, I do not remember her name, but she wore a wide headband, was extremely helpful and very friendly. She greeted everyone with a smile and an upbeat attitude.

The entrance way marking is a little confusing the first time one gets there. The Hotel sign is between 2 closely placed driveways and it is not clear which one you should take. The morning shift desk person was not as cheerful or friendly as the afternoon woman. The morning woman seemed irritated most of the time. Granted this was a very busy time with lots of Syracuse university parents.

Ideal location, close to shopping, beautiful property as wild animals are roaming which is a healthy sign of the environment. Staff was efficient, knowledgeable and always greeted me kindly. I would stay over other location first price contingent...that being said your rates are competitive. Thank you!

No shuttle service or basketball hoop on the property...someplace to play outside for me or whomever. I hoop is an easy install. Also it would be nice if there was an actual bar on the property for when happy hour starts.

The staff was helpful and the rooms were clean and well maintained. The pool was clean and accessible. The breakfast was great. There were lots of choices and it was well stocked.

There was not much to not like. The location was decent and the parking was accessible. It had snowed on our travel and the lot was clean and easy to get to the front desk. There was not anything not to like.

The breakfast was good and staff was very helpful. The location was good to surrounding areas as well. We definitely enjoy staying at this hotel every time we are in Syracuse.

The room could have been a little cleaner. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom from someone who had used the room previously. Overall, that was the only problem.
