Jeff and the rest of the family we met treated us like family. The rooms were comfortable, welcoming and charming If you're looking for the perfect tranquil spot,This is your place. From the amazing view of Seneca Lake or looking up at a million stars while sitting around the campfire. If you want to take a drive and explore the qaint wineries or take at hike at the beautiful Watkins Glen. It truly is a beautiful place.

It was very clean and private.

The room was tiny. There is a shooting range across the road; which is very annoying! There was shooting going on into the night. Also, there were no nearby or open restaurants the day we arrived. After a day of hiking Watkin’s Glen, we had to have a bowl of cereal for dinner. Lastly, too many decorations. You had to move them (trying to find somewhere to put them) so you had a place for your items.

This property offers a myriad of noteworthy aspects. We arrived later than the standard check-in time of 4 pm, opting to explore Ithaca beforehand. Unlike conventional motels, here, room keys are replaced by mobile pin codes due to the smart lock system, akin to Airbnb. However, upon arriving at around 9 pm, the provided code didn't work, leading to a 30-minute wait outside the room. Our attempts to reach the contact number went unanswered, yet a text message to the owner yielded a swift response with a new code, resolving the issue. This incident, though initially concerning due to my accompanying family, was promptly resolved, reassuring us. It's important to note that the property is managed remotely by the owner. While there's an on-site office, visits are based on a schedule. For any concerns, messaging the owner suffices, as they are quick to address any matters. The rooms, including the bathrooms, were impeccably clean. My wife particularly appreciated the comfort of the bed. The inclusion of numerous books for guests is a rarity in today's hotels, and the antique furniture adds a charming touch. Comprehensive instructions, such as the guest Wi-Fi details, are conveniently placed behind the door. Private parking right in front of your room is reserved, and the rooms are exceptionally tranquil, offering a serene atmosphere. The picturesque lake view from the window enhances the appeal. The owner and Pat both proved to be welcoming and supportive. Should you require early check-in, it's possible for an additional fee of $25 per hour. The exterior features a plethora of chairs for guests to enjoy the view, sip coffee, and even plan a barbecue or fire pit session at night. We are eager to return to this peaceful and delightful place. The motel setup exudes an old-school charm, enriched by the use of modern management techniques.

It was clean but even more impressive was the ambience when you walked in the room. Immediately, upon entering the room, my whole body relaxed. There were chocolates for us to enjoy. A china tea cup with 2 herb teas was on the bed with 2 well chosen books. The blinds were open to the view of the rolling grounds and a view of Seneca Lake. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed.

There was nothing not to like!

Excellent location very close to Watkins Glen village and park, Penn yan village and Dresden, beautiful landscape with a very nice view on the Seneca lake though your room’s window and balcony. The room was very well decorated, spacious and extremely clean and comfortable. Jeff is a very friendly and welcoming person with all the best recommendations. We truly enjoyed our stay in Savannah Inn and w’ll be back for sure.

We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Jeff, the owner checked us in and showed us to our room. He provided plenty of contact information in case we need anything during our stay. He made sure we had everything we needed before he left. The room was filled with little personal touches, which gave it a very welcoming atmosphere, that you don't usually find in chain hotels. It was clean, fresh, and very inviting. I don't want to spoil the surprise for future guests but there are plenty of wonderful pleasantries in the room, which make this a very memorable stay. I would highly recommend the Savannah House and plan to stay there again when in the area,

Great location on the west side of Seneca lake. Cozy, quaint and personable establishment with charming little touches all throughout the property. Great view of the lake and landscape of the area. My husband and I were only staying 2 nights and felt that the room was equipped with everything we needed and nothing that we didn't.We arrived a couple hours before check-in and the host did an excellent job of getting us into our room as soon as he could. It was so clean and inviting upon arrival, we were instantly relaxed after a long drive. We loved that there was a refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave. The little private outdoor patio area is a nice touch! Perfect for a quick stay in the area. We will definitely be back and for a little longer next time. Thank you Savannah House!

Nothing major to complain about. The only suggestion we would make would be to have curtains up on the front window. There's spaces in between the 3 sets of blinds and we could see into our room even with the blinds closed and it was a bit bright at night while sleeping.

This is a charming little gem overlooking Seneca Lake with many nice little touches to make for a perfectly enjoyable stay. Very clean and comfortable. Sit outside and enjoy sunrise over Seneca, plan your day, or relax after long day exploring the beautiful Finger Lakes region. 15 minutes to Watkins Glen. Owner Jeff greeted us with warm, friendly smile to orient us to the area.

The scenery was beautiful from sunrise to sunset. The place was very clean and cute. It was quiet and a more private small motel compared to the ones I have been in. Great location right in the middle of the wineries.

I didn't like the no contact with anyone if we needed anything. It was just straight texting which seemed not personable. The owner's son did say hello and talked with us for a bit which was very nice and gave us an opener to borrow while we were staying. The check in and check out times seemed a bit unfair. 4pm seems too late for me and 10am is a little early. We arrived early because I confirmed it, but no one would answer us for about 45 minutes with a text for our number and passcode.
