Hill View Motel and Cottages

This was our first time staying in a cottage in the woods and this place totally exceeded our expectations! We were in a cottage near the pool and next to the walking trail to the lake. It was remodeled with beautiful wood walls and ceilings in the living room, kitchen, and bathroom which gave it a wonderful cabin feel. The cottage was very clean and spacious and beds were very comfortable. The location to everywhere that we wanted to go was great. My daughter enjoyed the things to do for kids on the property and loved the pool with the view of the lake. The lake water was so clear and clean and we were able to use the complimentary kayaks while staying here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place. We had an amazing week in Lake George!

Everything was wonderful.

Our family loved the property! The view was amazing! The staff was so friendly. The pool was great and the amenities were nice too. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage, it was enough room for the 4 of us. The outside deck was so nice to have too! Overall the property is very nice and clean, and we hope to go back soon! Also, dog friendly!

Our only complaint was the bed. It was uncomfortable and did hurt our back. I would also recommend bringing extra pillows.

I like pretty much everything about this place. This is our 3rd time staying in the cottages. Dog friendly which is very nice because my daughter loves to be able to bring her dog. The pool is heated and always super nice and the beach across the street is even better. Not far from the village either. We usually go for 3 days. We like it so much we are actually thinking of going for a whole week next year!

Definitely needs a replaced refrigerator

The views from the 6 bedroom house were amazing. The location to the village and surround activities were perfect. The space and entertainment options were perfect for our group. The staff are amazing.

We had a few issues with bugs in the house but it is in the woods and overall was not much of an issue. The upstairs was quite hot and did not cool very efficiently. The grounds could use some maintenance.

The 2 bedroom suite was perfect. Clean and comfortable. Great outdoor space with a table and a bench. Best part was it was dog friendly for our pooch. The staff was friendly. Pool was nice but a lot of little kids in there which is to be expected. The lake is across the road at their sister location which we didn’t indulge in for swimming. About 8-10 minutes to the village, shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our Stay.

All of the staff was super friendly and super helpful. If you need a suggestion of something that is different from the norm, just ask. The location is great. The town isn't too far but far enough that you won't be overwhelmed with traffic and noise. The rooms while not super fancy, were just fine (you aren't at the Ritz but so much better than many of the places in town). If you want something a little more upscale rent the house or the chalet and not the motel efficiency. We did rent the efficiency and have already booked our return stay for next year. They were clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed and more. Next time we definitely will pack more food to make in the room, instead of eating out for most of our meals. The beach across the way is nicely kept. Lots of non-motorized options if you want to go out on the lake for free. You can bring your pups with you to the boats or kayaks but not to hang on the beach.

No complaints. They really do a great job.

If I ever come back to Lake George, I will definitely come back here to stay. I came in the pre season, so not everything was open or available, but I didn't expect them to be. The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to fix any issues brought up. This is a kind of weird thing to comment on, but the tap water tastes amazing, very much like Poland Springs water, and the water pressure in the cottage I stayed at was marvellous. Went kayaking multiple times, though I honestly might not recommend that for during season because the amount of boats on the lake would make it very hard... before season, though, it was a great time.

The wifi didn't have the best reception. It was useable for videos on my phone, but I had to disconnect to have a phone conversation. But that also happens in my kitchen at my own house so it isn't exactly a large issue to me.

This is a very comfortable two bedroom unit with a great view to Lake George. It has a full kitchen, a dining area, a sitting area with big screen TV and a small outside deck. It was very clean.

Would have been better to have a dishwasher in the kitchen. WiFi was spotty and had to be re-established every time I re-entered the unit. Would have appreciated shampoo and more bath soap.

Service was exceptional. Ariana (?) was friendly, gracious and accommodating. She was constantly working every aspect of the property yet always smiling. Beautiful view of lake & mountains

Humidity in room was incredible, even with AC on. Everything was damp. Bathing suits & towels would not dry. Condensation on toilet tank was creating puddles on bathroom floor.

Friendly helpful staff made you feel at home. Clean and roomy, Alot for kids to do. It is nice that it's dog friendly. Beautiful view of the lake and mountain. Pool was clean and added bonus lake access with use of kayaks. A lot of local deli's and places to eat. 10 min to lake George village. Will be coming back for sure.
