This is one of my most favorite B&Bs I've ever stayed in! My husband and I checked in late on a Sunday evening with our bikes to start a tour down the Erie Canal. The staff were warm and let us park our bikes safely inside. We had a private room and bathroom that were great, and the shower had jets and a rainfall head. Breakfast was even better! Our hosts served bread pudding with caramel, fresh pastries, home-made sausage, and offered yogurt/granola and fruit on the side. There was coffee, of course, but we helped ourselves to the loose leaf tea bar in the breakfast area. Really phenomenal experience in Utica.

The Rosemont Inn is an old mansion with fantastic architecture. Breakfast was very tasty. Location is near the zoo, art district and brewery district. The zoo is small but well represented by many species which were mostly active even in a warm afternoon, I highly recommend if you have an hour or 2 to get some steps in. Brewery district is composed of some historic older pubs with cool bars and good food.

I do not do a lot of texting and seldom use acronyms. But regarding the breakfast OMG! The care, imagination and pride taken in the preparation and presentation of the exceptional breakfast was amazing. The décor and furnishings throughout the inn is wonderful, so in tune with the motif of its Victorian heritage.

The shower curtains in the claw foot tub made it a little difficult to enjoy the otherwise wonderful shower/hot water arrangement. Given that the inn was located on a main street, the hot cars and motorcycles were sometimes disturbing to my wife. I. on the other hand, had no trouble sleeping.

Easy to find, easy to park and welcoming staff who gave a comprehensive tour so I knew where everything was. Comfortable bed and air conditioning. Entertaining and large shower with 3 options- shower head, 3 side sprays or individual wand.

I had scheduled ( at their request) when to have breakfast- and although there were several tables available by the time I arrived, they were not cleared if the previous guests dishes for at least 15 minutes- and no coffee, either, - no sign of the staff or explanation for the delay until both the cook and dishwasher appeared with apologies- busy morning. Similarly when I left early the next morning- having arranged an early exit and take away breakfast, a nice bagged breakfast was presented, but the coffee pot was empty- and again, no way to know where the staff were to let them know. No actual harm done, and coffee eventually appeared before I had to leave. They are eager to please and I’m sorry not to give a more rousing review.

The historic building and property was beautiful. The room was very comfortable. The delicious breakfast was more than I had expected and served in a nicely decorated dining room. We enjoyed our stay at the Rosemont Inn.

The only downside to our room was that the shower/ tub was a claw foot tub. It was beautiful but difficult for my husband to step into due to a badly sprained ankle. Normally this would not be an issue for us. I do believe other rooms had walk in showers but the sprain happened just days before our visit.

The breakfast was just delicious and beautifully presented. The dining room was so lovely and comfortable. We really enjoyed this start to our days staying with Rita, who was simply amazing. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The little extras were very nice and appreciated.

The AC was a little on the weak side so that the room felt slightly warm for a summer night. Maybe we just didn’t really know how to set it correctly.

Room was nicely appointed, sheets and pillows very luxurious. Bathroom nicely renovated with wonderful spa shower and plenty of hot water. Nice to have coffee and tea presses on both floors and cold beverages on hand. Breakfast was delicious and cordially served. Bread pudding and sausage were a treat. Heating throughout the inn kept things comfortable despite the outside temps in the teens.

DirectTv box a bit finicky, use front controls on box if remote doesn't work. Spa shower controls need labels or an info card nearby. Accommodation for holding shampoo and gel in shower would prevent bending down to get them. Center legs on bed could be cushioned to prevent stubbed toes.

Breakfast was great. Bed was very comfortable. I liked the coffee and snack bars for anytime. Rita and staff were very accommodating. I would come back again!

I would not recommend changing dates on Booking.com. It caused too much confusion with all parties involved. Cancel the original reservation first and start over with a new reservation. Also, I would recommend waiting a day before making the new reservation to separate it from the old data.

Rita and Bob are fabulous Innkeepers and are running a lovely, warm and welcoming B&B. It has a great deal of Victorian era charm, is very comfy and the breakfasts are lovely.

The only thing we would have changed - and admittedly a small thing - is that the water was cold one day when we tried to run a shower. We got up late so I think the tank had run out.

We stayed in the Lagerfeld room, which boasted a feather bed (I think), incredibly soft sheets, and a rather large and well-appointed bathroom. Well lit and well heated (we visited in early December), with a small desk and desk chair, and two comfortable lounge chairs; the floor was covered by a colorful rug. Very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious and included hot bread pudding and scrambled eggs, but the star of the show there was the spiced chicken sausage; it was zingy enough to stand out, but not overly hot. Great coffee, too! And the ambience of this old building is something you simply have to see to appreciate.

There's not much I can come up with to criticize here! But we arrived late at night and couldn't find the decaf bags of tea. Likely our own fault, and we probably just should have asked. Oh, and the shower in the Lagerfeld room is incredible - and complex! Seriously, it should include instructions. Took us a wee bit to sort out which dial controlled the temperature, the selection of shower heads (let's see... were there four? five?), and there was a third control there, too. Gave a lovely shower once we had it sorted out, though.
