The breakfast was delicious, and i especially liked the fresh fruit. I also appreciated access to ice and a drinks. I loved the porch for breakfast and the use of china and tablecloths. I also loved the outdoor porch seating, which I enjoyed in the evenings. The location is wonderful and one can easily walk anywhere in town.

It would be nice to know in advance what is being served for breakfast. The television was confusing and there was no access to regular stations that I could find. I did not want to sign in with my own account. Someone else's email was on the screen, and I did not want to leave mine inadvertantly.

The breakfast was marvelous! Pancakes, scones fresh fruit etc. All delicious. It would have been helpful to have had some lower calorie options such as poached eggs, wheat toast, oatmeal and other cereal. The breakfasts all were delicious but quite rich! Still, if asked, Jeanne was happy to prepare something lighter. The house is beautiful and charming. The only downside was that the tv would not work as it couldn't connect with wifi but we didn't miss tv too much. The staff is friendly and attentive. The place is neat and clean. The furnishings are outstanding!! All great!!

Tv did't work and room was too hot one night. Those were the only negatives. Overall it was a great place and we'd like to stay there again.

The breakfast was incredible. Better than most high end restaurants. The house was an antique and beautiful. Christmas decorations were beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Common spaces were lush and comfortable. Location was perfect, in the middle of the historic district of Edenton, NC

The house still needed some work. The bathroom door wouldn't close, the shower was too hot, and the air temperature was difficult to control. No housekeeping services. Furniture was too large for our room. Worst of all, my checking account was charged $300 without warning. I had to call the booking company to find out that it was in case of damage. The charge was finally dropped.

beautiful location and beautiful furnishings

Our only issue is with booking.com and this was our first use of this site. If we had wanted to make revisions to our reservation, it should be made perfectly clear in booking.com that we would be charged the full reservation rate for all four nights. Fortunately the location was nice but if it wasn't, we had no options to cancel without being charged for full cost of reservation. We will not be using booking.com again.

The house is immaculately kept, inside and out. The decor makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time. The porches, patios, and gardens are incredibly serene. You can’t beat the location, as it is just two blocks from downtown and the waterfront park overlooking Edenton Bay. We loved hearing the bells play songs at noon and 6pm from the church next door.

The innkeeper, Jeannie was great. From the moment we arrived until we left she was friendly, professional and efficient. There was a "young lady" that served breakfast. I do not know her name, she was attentive, helpful, efficient and polite. Breakfast and the chocolate cup cakes in the afternoon were outstanding. Overall, the inn was very special.

the location was right in town and walking distance to everything. The Food was AMAZING! we had a delicious complementary breakfast along with the most delicious little desserts offered at night at the front desk to have. the beds and bedding were amazing!! So comfortable! the place where we stayed was not completely finished being renovated so

my only negative- was that there was ZERO wifi to use during our stay.

Location was excellent. Within walking distance to all attractions. Breakfast was wonderful! Homemade omelet and French toast when I stayed with fruit and muffin. Also free bottled water and baked goods throughout the day.

Room was right by the stairs so it was noisy at times with guests coming and going.

Wonderful historic house, beautiful living room and sweet veranda. Great breakfast, room and furniture with lots of character. A piece of paradise well located in the heart of the beautiful town of Edenton.

The breakfast was delicious. The location is within walking distance of attractions along the sound and local shopping and restaurants. There is so much history to take in and the older homes in the area are so well kept and amazing to look at.

There was no soap in the downstairs bathrooms.
