Hyatt Place Greensboro Downtown

The location was perfect for us because we attended a Greensboro Grasshoppers home game. We just had to walk across the street to the stadium and back to our room after the game. We also walked uptown/downtown for some late night food on Friday night. We felt safe in the area.

It was a little hot/stuffy in our room even though we had the thermostat set on 65 degrees. My husband likes to sleep with a fan running, but the fan kept cutting off and then cutting back on.

The staff for the most part was exceptional but the morning staff in breakfast area was not the friendliest and they started taking away the breakfast items at 9am. We saw the muffins when we started to get our breakfast and we turned around to get one and they were gone. I had to ask the lady(heavy set & tall) for them and she seemed less than pleased that she had to go back in the kitchen and get them. Otherwise breakfast was excellent and had such a great variety.

$260 for a hotel room for 1 night was excessive

Staff was very polite. Everything was very clean. My husband and I will definitely be booking with Hyatt from here on out! It was also a bonus that it was located right next to a minor league baseball field. We got to watch fireworks after the games both nights we stayed over the weekend.

Breakfast could’ve been a little better. The French toast sticks were very dry. Eating one I couldn’t seem to swallow it no matter how much water I tried to drink. It was rough. At times the coffee would run out with none to replace.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the beds slept great. Lots of room in the Queen with a view. Breakfast was very good. Lots of variety. Even fresh fruit. Lots of clean towels. Loved the security of the elevators. Had to swipe card to go up. Will definitely stay again!

No microwave in room. Pool heated but outdoors only. Trash cans very small. Need more large plates at breakfast. Only small plates both days. Maybe carry out plates to take food to rooms if you want to eat there. Even small ones would be nice. Parking was horrible. The spaces in parking garage were very tight.

Great location and extremely convenient to everything downtown. Very clean with a friendly staff that made you feel welcomed! I would highly recommend it. The rooms are very spacious, and I love the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ballpark. Great pool deck and fitness. Side note- I love the Starbucks coffee option.

Preferred a higher floor level, but the hotel was booked so I stayed on the 2nd floor, which still provided plenty of light.

I enjoyed the room and location. I can't recall the name of the female bartender who was on duty upon my arrival. I was pleased with the customer service at check-in by I believe her name was Katera? I'm not certain but she was so helpful to me during my stay.

I did not like the Waffles or Coffee.

The deluxe king room was super nice with the view of the baseball stadium. Bed was comfy and nice. They can do a little better with room service and breakfast overall very pleasing experience.

The clerks are not properly trained and have little knowledge of downtown Greensboro. Asked for directions to downtown Greenway (four blocks away) and received a blank stare. We chose an above normal priced room with a view. We were given the following room that became available as a convenience for them: location on the second floor, view of a car park. The special celebration of my wife’s birthday began poorly. Although at check-in I said I had no car, my bill was charged for parking on both nights.

I stay at Hyatt places often with my company for work, so I'm used to the breakfast buffet, etc. The location of the hotel was very good. Street parking was fairly easy the few times we needed it.

I interacted with several staff. Most were delightful , I encountered a few situations that mad eme think a few of the staff could use some more training. Oveall, a good experience though.

Excellent staff. Very kind and professional. Breakfast was very good. Room was accessible and comfortable. Very clean and pleasant.

Location while good, lacked access to diverse lunch/dinner food choices in walking distance. The hotel dinner menu was restricted/limited.
