Wingate by Wyndham High Point

Breakfast was good. Jimmy Dean Bacon & Sausuage egg and cheese sandwiches, fresh pancakes (self-serve pancake machine), cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit cup, muffins, danishes, apple & orange juice machine, coffee and tea. One of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had. Hallways had high ceilings. I'm tall so little things like that make a big difference. Rooms were a nice size, I didn't feel like I was sleeping in a closet. Note about roaches: I was weary to book this hotel based on other reviews about roaches. I stayed 7 days and had Zero roach encounters anywhere in the hotel. Full disclosure, I found 2 small dead stink bugs. Perhaps other reviewers mistook stinkbugs for roaches or maybe they fixed the roach problem but my stay was roachfree.

The indoor pool is small, but the entire complex is small so it's fitting I suppose. Elevator is small and the A/C was not working during our stay so it was a bit hot. The room A/C worked great though.

Rooms and hotel in general were older, but very clean. The cleanliness of the place was the best thing, next to the staff. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good - nice coffee, very cold milk, all that I liked. The bed was comfortable.

I did not like that we needed to drop off and then pick up clean towels. I felt that COVID is enough passed that you could make the bed and restock the room. The bathtub was "bouncy" and felt unsteady. I was worried that we would fall. I would have liked safety rails near the shower/bathtub to get in and out of it.

The lady working at the front desk Wednesday night was both welcoming and hospitable. She was also very friendly and helpful when I called to ask about a late check in. Even though the hotel is a little dated, it is also nice to have a room with both a spa tub and a fireplace at a reasonable rate.

The wifi was good, but it did go down around lunchtime for about an hour or so. It also seemed as though housekeeping had not finished cleaning the room as the shower curtain was lying on the bathroom counter.

I liked the fact that any time misty worked she always made sure to greet me and my family at the door and she always locked the entrance at midnight it just gives you an extra sense of security I thought my kids were a bit much but the entire staff loved them and I really appreciate that

I loved everything very convenient to my job and the staff was truly amazing

The price was very reasonable, the room was very well appointed, and the location was great. It was a very simple check-in and out process. Breakfast was included. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The mattresses were so firm I got very little sleep (although they were not solely to blame). But this could be a personal preference. I requested the final receipt be emailed to me, but I never received it.

The location and the mirror over the jacuzzi in the king non smoking room was AMAZING

The remote to the TV in my room was a universal remote instead of the Vizio remote that was needed so I was not able to play my game system because I could not change the input with the universal remote and when I notified the front desk the ONLY remotes they had was universal so none of them worked with the input so i wasn't able to play my game system

The king room was very spacious with a comfortable couch and bed. On the plus side it has a jacuzzi bathtub.

The only problem was the breakfast. They only provide a Jimmy d frozen sausage that has to be microwaved, muffins, and cereal with the milk being served in a pitcher set in ice. The only thing that was good was the pancake maker they have.

toilet ran every 20 minutes loudly-we didn’t complain. room looked clean, but upon a closer look-it could’ve been cleaner-under chair cushion, front of microwave (outside), bath floor grout is stained dirty

Location was good. There are 2 gas stations, quite a few restaurants and a nail salon on the street.

maid service could have done a better job pillow cases didn’t appear fresh ditties sheet wasn’t completely on the bed some towels didn’t seem fresh. Front desk was very pleasant, they apologized and gave fresh towels and pillow cases immediately.

I loved the bed super soft had a separate area with couch and coffee table plus a fireplace. The bed was fantastic and the large whirlpool bathtub was great. When it's time to go back to NC we are stay at this wonderful hotel TV was big
