Loved Starbucks and restaurant. The staff was friendly, and the location was good. The rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable. But overall, we enjoyed our stay.

There wasn't a microwave,which we expected to have. The plug on the light by the bed was broken. The room could use an upgrade. But overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is easy to find. Restaurants are within walking distance and the pretty town square. The buffet breakfast was good every morning with unlimited coffee…thank you! Warm cookies are a plus. But the best thing was the exceptional staff. Always ready to help out. Polite, welcoming, professional and on top of their patrons desires and needs. A great stay and I would stay again (which I rarely do because I like to try new places).

If I had to say something perhaps the indoor pool area is a bit small but it worked for us. Two friends traveling with two 12 year old boys!

The staff was excellent. Brittany (I hope I recalled her name correctly) at the front desk, was very welcoming and went out of her way be sure we had a good stay. We stayed in a king suite, which was perfect for our family. I have a disability and use a travel lift, and the ability for its base to go go under the bed made it much easier (and safer) for me to get in and out of bed. The sleeper sofa in the other room worked great for our kids, and the ability to close the doors between the two rooms allowed privacy for me when getting in and out of bed. The price was reasonable and there are multiple choices for dining within easy walking distance.

We were visiting friends in both Newark and Granville, Ohio, and wanted a comfortable hotel in good proximity at a reasonable price. The Doubletree fulfilled all those expectations. Staff members were particularly welcoming and helpful: one employee interrupted his work to search for a cart for us at departure time, and found one! The hotel is an easy walking distance from the central square in Newark, complete with a Victorian courthouse, a lovely little Louis Sullivan-designed building, and some nice restaurants. The room was of a good size and the beds were very comfortable. There is a sizable, free parking lot. The state road connecting us to Granville is less than five minutes away, nonetheless the room was quiet.

I really can't think of anything I expected from this hotel that they didn't provide, except for a pleasant breakfast venue. We ate at the Starbucks outlet on the ground floor the first day -- very rudimentary. After that, we went out for breakfast.

Did not eat breakfast there it was a separate cost we walked over and looked at their Buffet didn't look appetizing so we did not eat

As much as the cost was for the room which I've stayed in the nicer rooms should have been a free breakfast with it

This is about the first time I was able to sleep, all night, without being awakened by noisy occupants. The beds were very comfortable.

It had a depressing wall color and tired carpet.

I was especially impressed with the staff, all of the ones that were on duty during my stay were exceptional. They went out of their way to ensure that my stay was a good one. Thank you so much!

The restaurant was closed during my stay so I had to find elsewhere to eat.

Hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating for our softball families that stayed there. They did everything they could to help us, even providing paper plates and paper towels when the pizzas we had delivered didn't come with any. Would love to come back and stay again and take time to walk into the beautiful little town area of Newark.

I stayed there last weekend for the purpose I got married last Saturday. Each front desk staff member we met was so nice and friendly. it was also a very clean property.

I love staying here. I was a little disappointed at the king suite we stayed in this weekend, as opposed to the king suite we stayed in last week. It was more expensive this weekend and it was much smaller and the sheets and comforter were dingy and not the typical fluffy, comfortable comforter as usual. The shower is difficult to turn on, both doors don’t open and you have to be in to get soaked to adjust the water. It would be easier if both doors open. Also, a receipt was supposed to be emailed the last 2 times I stayed and never was. Today, I checked out with the app and it said a receipt would be emailed and it hasn’t yet. I used the app to contact the front desk and haven’t received a response. I need a receipt please. Other than that I enjoy staging at this hotel.
