White Caps Motel

We were a little hesitant about staying here as it is not a popular hotel chain and when we asked an employee at a nearby business what they new about the White Caps Motel and they said they didn't hear a lot of great things we were even more apprehensive about staying here. However, we were pleasantly surprised upon walking into the White Caps hotel room. The room was very clean, it looked like it was recently updated, there was a nice size refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker and two very comfortable beds. The air conditioner kept our room nice and cool. We would definitely stay here again!

The bathroom was a little small, but it didn't really matter as we didn't spend a lot of time in there. The water pressure and temperature of water in the shower were great.

We were upgraded to stay in a cabin at no cost. It turned out to be an exceptional value for what we paid. Very grateful for this treatment and this awesome stay!

Really nice all the way around. Good sleeping apparel/fixtures/beds, excellent hot water bathroom and an ample sized refrigerator plus pretty good Gordon coffee, filter and coffee maker

The shower unit was cramped and tight. Also, the entrance door had a lockset in need of replacement; it was so difficult to get the key into the lockset! Also, the entrance door weatherstripping as well, the huge gap around door allowed outside noise to infiltrate the unit.

Room was clean and very boater friendly,staff was great! I was very pleased!!

We stayed in a motel room. I liked how friendly the check in person was. She was very helpful when we got lost trying to find out room. Each room was the perfect size. It has everything you could possibly need during a stay away from home.

The beds were SO uncomfortable. I didn’t sleep well at all. The flies and mosquitos kept managing to come in while we were sleeping. When we woke up there were at least ten of them zooming around the room.

It was a cute location, we had fun, it was all we needed for an overnight stay but the bathroom was clean, the beds were nicely made, the decor was cute and had that lake vibe feel to it! We woke up early and went fishing out back.. it was just a nice quiet little place, and every person we spoke with was super nice and helpful, especially since we did odd check in/out times!

Everything was great.. the staff was super friendly and warm. couldn't ask for anything to be better .. location was awesome .. it was super, easy check in and out. there wasn't anything bad about the whole adventure. The next time I want to go to the area I will be staying at White Cap! We loved it there .

Humm... Well there was not one thing I didn't like..

This is a great little place to stay! Close to many attractions and the ferry. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. It was very enjoyable to sit right outside my room in the evening to smoke. No long walks out the hotel, thru a lobby, to stand in the sun. Will definitely stay here on return trips to the area.

It was peaceful, quiet beds were comfortable room was clean. Check in was easy staff on duty was very pleasant. Was a good little motel for traveling.

Rooms could use some repair (big gaps around front door) outdoor grilling area could use some updates.bathroom was kinda cramped if you are tall kinda hard to use comode and close door.

Dock availability, the closeness of boat launch, and ease of access to the Portage River. The price was reasonable. Parking was convenient.

The fish cleaning shed was not well kept and the main office hours were too restrictive. The overall campgrounds were in need of repair.
