La Kris is a classic roadside one-storey motel. It's an older property that has been updated with some attention to detail, giving it something of a boutique feel (the owners are artists). Room was spacious and comfortable. Old-town Bandon is a short walk away and is pleasant with numerous restaurants and cute shops.

The motel is directly off highway 101, which is a 4-lane surface street entering Bandon, so there is traffic noise, although the room soundproofing is adequate. The old town is a 10 minute walk on the highway sidewalk, which was cold and windy, probably fairly typical.

Friendly and knowledgeable Office staff. Convenient location and ample parking.

Difficult to lock and unlock the room. I had to fuss with the key to open the knob lock, and the deadbolt was not able to be enabled with the key from the outside. Room difficult to ventilate for showering due to small window in the bathroom, and the need to open the front window and move the drapery away in the bedroom which looked right out into the parking area. No exhaust fan in bathroom.

The staff was great and the cation was good. It was very cute, good shower head, and comfy bed. Also a cute real key, and our neighbors were able to plug in their hybrid car. Free and plentiful parking!

It was hot in our room. Needs bigger windows. They did give us a fan and it was comfortable. Just don’t shut the windows thinking you will be cold later in the summer!! No ice machine or breakfast.

This place was a great little place to stay. Was clean, the staff was super friendly. We called ahead to say we’d arrive very late and they accommodated and were super friendly about it. It’s located across the street from a super market and a great drive up coffee place. Great stay on a West Coast trip

The traffic noise was a lot as it’s very close a major highway/road. So if you are not a easy sleeper bring some ear plugs (I did and slept well). I’m a shower person so I like good pressure with a good shower head. Unfortunately this didn’t score well there. It wasn’t bad but not great.

Location was ideal, close to town center with a good grocery store (with takeout deli) across the street and a nice restaurant a block away. Coffee was available in the room, but as a tea drinker I was delightfully surprised to find a lovely selection of black, green, herbal and white tea in my room. Very thoughtful. Room was clean, well-maintained with comfortable furnishings. Thumbs up all around.

The electric heat was more than adequate for the room, but the heater thermostat didn't seem to turn the heat off and on automatically so I had to regulate it manually. The bathroom was well equipped and functional--my only suggestion for improvement would be to install a grab bar next to the tub to aid in stepping in and out.

Clean, rate, easy access, parking, walking distance to grocery store/convenience market and DQ...

No AC (it's the Oregon coast), so for fresh air in the evening you needed to sleep with the windows open... sadly, the evening road noise was at times noticeable for some louder vehichle exhaust systems; for some guests this may simply be white noise (which is our case), for others it could be problematic.

The location is very close to Old Town. We chose to stay in Bandon for two nights so we could explore the coast, so for that it ws great. It is right on 101 and easy to get in and out of.

No air condtioning and the shower kept going from straight cold to scalding.

Simple motel with all the basics! Clean, comfortable room, convenient location, and kind, knowledgeable staff. Thanks to the gentleman at the front desk, we watched the most beautiful sunset over the water from the best location in town - a definite highlight of our stay!

The room was clean, nicely decorated, everything was in working condition, and well stocked with the necessities. Parking was easy. The place is close to town. Wi-Fi worked well the whole time. I was mostly in Bandon to do some crabbing so didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room.

Although there were no issues for us, I do think the security of the rooms could be improved. The key only locks the doorknob and not the deadbolt. one of the windows didn't seem to lock, but there was not public access to it from the outside. The area did seem fine but I was a little wary about leaving my PC while I was out.

This is a modest little motel that has been given delightful new life. Our room was very thoughtfully decorated; someone clearly put time and love into a physical show of welcome. Everything was updated and clean. The woman at the front desk was as friendly as could be and answered all my questions. My only regret was that this was a one-night stay; why do we always seem to happen upon the gems when we're just passing through?
