Motel 6-Coos Bay, OR

my partner and I stayed at this motel for 21 days, checked out and came back for an additional five days while we waited to get into our house. We chose this motel because it is pet friendly and they don’t charge you extra money for having animals with you. Other motels in the area cost more per night, and the pet friendly ones charge per animal per night on top of the room fee. We have an 85 pound dog and a cat and this motel made it extremely easy and affordable to keep them with us while waiting to get settled. we stayed in the extended king suite, then in a room with two queen beds Both rooms were extremely clean. enough room for us all to live comfortably for a couple of weeks. The staff was very polite and helpful, 10/10 for customer service. they provided plenty of fresh towels and were always around when we needed something there is a washer and dryer on site which is coin operated. For a motel six this establishment exceeded my expectations. The Wi-Fi was a tad spotty, but that’s it. Warm water, lots of hot water, good water pressure, good customer service, great price. Other motels in the area will charge you $10 plus more a night for way less.

secure, no microwave, fridge or coffee pot. Housekeeping only came one time that week (at my request.) and she was in there 30 minutes. Somehow my “Full Service” didn’t clean the floor, or surfaces I cleared of personal items, as instructed. My feet were dirty as heck. eww.

This is a VERY basic hotel. It contains a bed and bathroom and not much else. No shampoo nor conditioner, no fridge nor microwave, but it did have an ice machine. I used my own cell phone hotspot and streamed my programs on my own device. They provided wifi and a tv; I just chose not to use it. The parking lot was PACKED (see photo), so I assume every room was occupied. However, it was really quiet, so I slept well because the bed was comfortable. You should be aware that the bed has only sheets and a single blanket; no comforter. Also, there were not many, nor high quality, towels. But again, I just needed a place to sleep, so it worked for me.

Nothing. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was nice and accomodating at both check-in and check-out. We came to the room at 8pm and were gone by 10am. Don't stay here if you have to stay in the hotel room, but it's a great place to sleep.

I enjoyed that it was close to the water, I also love the fresh smell of the lumber yard close by! I never ran into anyone off of the staff, but no one ever bothered us so that’s a plus! The property was clean, and I slept like a baby!

That I only booked one night and the parking was well equipped for a huge tow truck. I would have booked two nights, but didn’t know I was going to be staying another night in town.

The lights were way too bright outside of the room! It shined through the window and made it difficult to sleep. The curtain allowed this light to shine through all night. And, not a huge deal but I find it annoying that every time we stay there they have to request for ID from each of us! They should have this in their system from previous stays. I have never been asked for ID for each of us at any other motel 6 or any other motel.

Staff was friendly. No hassles with my dog. Ice was always available. Room was clean.

No toilet paper when we got there but able to get some right-away. No real place to take a dog for a walk but it served the purpose we were there for. The hot tub/spa was closed for maintenance but we were there to play at the dunes so it wasn't necessary this trip.

The motel itself was quite clean and the bed was comfortable. The suite even had a fake fireplace that made it seem so cozy and comfortable.

The bedspread was stained which was a little off putting but the staff was very nice and changed them at request. Also the spa bath was stained and looked dirty, probably needs refurbished. The only other complaint I have is about the location of the property. Not at the fault of Motel 6, but the road it is on is SO LOUD and disturbing. it was very hard to get a full nights sleep due to the loud cars right next to the window. If you’re a heavy sleeper this is a great place to stay and wonderful quality for the price.

That I could bring my dog and it didn't cost extra. It was the most cost effective option to have a pet travel with you.

I can't say that I disliked anything in particular. The accommodations were simple, TV was small, TV remote was randomly small/simple and I just like the options for soap/shampoo/etc but knew this prior to booking.

The staff are always wonderful and it’s in a convenient location.

My room was ok except the microwave was a little dirty and the bath mat/towel looked like it wasn’t changed out. There was also hair in the shower drain. I do understand the fact that you are short handed, but just be aware, for the next guest. Thank You.

The only thing I do not like what is that everyone pay different prices. The day before the price went down $15 and there was nothing I can do about it.

Prices should not be so volatile. I feel that I was taken advantage of in price and it should have been lower or I should’ve had access to the lower price.
