La Bastide Bed and Breakfast

I chose this B&B because it had excellent reviews and I saw for myself how wonderful it is. The home and surrounding grounds are impeccable and lots of care goes into every detail. They allowed us to check in a little early to get ready for the wedding that we attended in Dundee. The variety of breakfast food was delicious (their homemade breakfast bread is perfect!) and we could choose our own time to eat. Since we had a very early morning departure, they sent us off with to-go homemade biscuits and hot coffee! We felt safe and welcomed by their friendly staff.

Beautiful property in the heart of wine country. Tastefully decorated. Nice fireplace in the room. Walking distance from most of the tasting rooms. Very friendly and helpful Inn Keepers. Good breakfast. We’d definitely return and already have recommended it to friends and family.

No fridge in the rooms. Only one to share amongst all the guests. we had lots of stuff with us due to the location of other places we stayed and dietary issues. This may not be a problem for most people.

They offered a variety of selections for breakfast. Everything was nicely presented and delicious. The room was nice with a comfortable bed. The location was convenient to many wineries. The staff were all very friendly. They provided detailed information on local wineries/restaurants before we came to help plan our trip. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return.

I had an enjoyable time staying at La Bastide while a group of friends and I were in the area wine tasting. My room and bed were very comfortable. We were happy to have space in the room with the piano to just hang out and visit in the evening. Loved the breakfast they served in the morning. The owners were very nice and helpful with questions.

Breakfasts were delicious everyday! Very generous serving sizes. Lovely table setting and dining atmosphere. We really appreciated having the 24 hr Keurig coffee available. Staff members were friendly, polite and very helpful.

Breakfast was absolutely great! Generous, delicious, and pleasantly served.

The halls are a little stark, and the road noise is loud if you have the windows open. But these are small quibbles. It's a great place.

Breakfast is wonderful. Ambience was quiet and calm. Room is really cute.

I didn't realize how fast the room would get super hot when you turned on the fireplace. But it was certainly a cozy feature.

Food's excellent. Host is engaging and available, also knowledgeable about the locale, notably wineries and wine people in the business.

Insufficient space in the bathroom to spread out toiletries, lotions, etc. Lighting in bedroom could be upped. TV could be HD.
