Golden West Motel

Upon checking in, I was greeted very warmly by the owner (I believe her name is Louisa?). The room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. I stayed for two nights and slept very well both nights. This hidden gem of a motel has a noticeably friendly charm in the air and the next time I am in Klamath Falls, I will definitely be staying here!

I liked everything about this place. The only potential concern for some is that it is not within walking distance of the amenities of central Klamath Falls. However, it is only a two-mile drive away. And on a personal note, I like that it is somewhat removed.

Everything. From the moment we checked in the owner was welcoming and helpful.She brought over ice,gave us paper plates and utensils since we had bought dinner from a nearby Albertsons and we’re going to eat in our room since we’d had a long drive The unit was spotlessly clean looked recently remodeled. We had a frig, microwave ,a little table to eat on and a real coffee pot with coffee , cream and sugar . Very welcome! The bathroom was well equipped, bed very comfortable. Now when you’re on the road you see many of these smaller non chain hotels. Frankly you never know what your going to get But Golden West exceeded all expectations

The room was cute, clean, and well equipped. Worked just right for our family. It was also very quiet. Some details of my booking didn't transfer to the property and they were very kind and helped find a solution. Theu were also able to help accommodate parking our larger vehicle. We stay in Klamath Falls once a year or so and we would definitely stay here again.

It's a motel, so if you are after a luxury experience, you won't find that here. If you need a simple, clean, and convenient place to stay on the way to Crater Lake or other Pacific Northwest locations this is absolutely perfect!

The owners are fabulous! They saw we arrived on two motorcycles and immediately ensured we had a room with cover outside for the motorcycles in case it rained. They could see we were tired from a 550 mile day and asked whether we had eaten dinner yet. When we said we had not eaten they transported us to a local dining spot (also a great place!) so we would not have to suit up and ride any more that day. It was clear that everyone is treated like a family guest at the Golden West Motel. The room was spotless, meticulously prepared, totally comfortable, quiet, with all amenities and nice touches like a power bar for plugging in multiple chargers. Ours even had a kitchenette with everything needed.

We liked everything. The motel at a glance looks modest but be prepared to be delighted by the great location, the excellent accommodations, nice touches in the room, and super friendly and supportive hosts.

When I drove into the parking lot, the owners immediately came out and greeted me. I am a young adult, and this was my first time traveling alone. When I checked in, they mentioned that I could call at any time if any issues occurred. They were so nice, and I felt comfortable and safe at this motel. I would defiantly stop by again!

At first glance, it didn't seem much. It was right off the main strip, which was convenient. The sign was a little old, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay at first. However, don't judge a cover by it's book. The towels were slightly small.

This place is a hidden gem. There was clearly so much care put into everything - all nicely arranged, fresh ground coffee in a charming jam jar, towels folded into cute shapes. Larger mini fridge, plus a table with two chairs - efficient use of space. The proprietor is wonderful - she strikes just the right balance of being friendly and helpful without being too invasive. The best of visiting a nice grandmother and staying at a convenient hotel.

We had a warm welcome from the office, and knew that this was a well maintained business that turned out to be true. Nice grassy area for our pets to play on, comfortable rooms that have been reconditioned neatly and professionally. I read all the reviews, which inspired our choice in this motel and you can take it to the bank that these reviews are accurate. We would stay again, nice small business which I am proud to give our business to.

I’m certain that most folks would find something they didn’t like about everything, but for our one night stay, it was worth the money.

Initially we were reluctant to book this independently owned hotel as we have had horrendous experiences in the past. However, upon reading the reviews we decided to give it a try. The location is extremely handy, as it is situated right off the main drag through town. There is ample parking. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming, and I wish we lived closer so I could get to know her better! Check in was very easy. The room was small, and yes it is dated, but it has no funky smells and the furniture is sturdy and everything is very neat and clean. There is a nice shower. There is in room coffee. We left the next morning, feeling as though we had spent the night at a relative's house!

I love staying at this motel when I visit the area. It isn't always available, but that is part of the reason why I like staying there, because there are not too many rooms (or neighbors) and the staff there is attentive and helpful.

One thing that I think would help is to have better signage at the the entry to the property, because I actually missed the driveway one night. There is a sign there, but one in advance before you reach the driveway may be more helpful, especially if you have not been there before.

Warm reception from the host from the time I walked through the door until I finished the check-in process. Even though it's likely a mid-century property, it was the cleanest and freshest room I've been in, in a very long time. Comfortable bed with crisp, clean white sheets and plush towels in the bathroom. Coffee makings provided; clean, newer microwave and refrigerator. Fresh rose on the table was a sweet touch. Luisa is great, and I don't say that about many people!

There was nothing about this motel that I didn't like.
