Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg Hershey

Great location, close to everything! There is a hot tub, indoor and outdoor pool, arcade, and gym! There is Lao a restaurant within the location! The location is local to shops, Restaurants, and not too far from Hershey Park which was def a plus! I had events to attend in the area and each location was just minutes from where we were staying!

Thanks room size for the price was a bit pricey. The vent in the bathroom did not work so the ceiling, wall paper, and comfort of the room were all altered by it. There is no one monitoring the pools and hot tub areas so people were leaving those areas a mess. They say no kids in the hot tub but there were full families with multiple kids in them. The pool needed to be sanitized and cleaned more frequently. Parents not monitoring their children by the pool and playground areas. Wish they arcade had more things for girls too.

2 pools, convenient location for what we were doing. Front desk staff member Jon was great! He was very attentive and personable. One morning when there was nothing left of the very small plate of muffins he offered us other options. He was the only staff member that stood at the desk and greeted people, others would not even look up to see what we needed or to greet guests.

The restaurant was closed for three of the 4 days we stayed because of "low occupancy" well, how is that fair to the guest staying and no breakfast either and one plate of muffins for the whole hotel?? Really???

There was a small problem in our 1st room with some dripping from an air conditioner. The staff immediately moved us and we liked the 2nd room even better than the first one. The pool view was lovely. The pool hot tub area was very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was a really nice place all around. Great location to everything as well. And we heard several guests checking in that had been there before. That speaks volumes about the kind of place it is .

I really have nothing to say here. It was a very nice stay and we plan to come back

all that it had to offer! even when the outdoor pool is closed for the season the hot tub stays open! and there’s also an indoor pool, game room, basketball, picnic area, large playground, restaurants at area, breakfast buffet,gym and so much more along with perfect location and the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay the most enjoyable! if there’s anything you need bug or small they are there to help out in a split second with everything and anything! will definitely return!

We were so comfortable being there. It wasn't too "fancy" and I could just be myself. The kids loved the open space, playground, tennis courts, and indoor pool. The staff were great, the restaurant was nice, and the arcade was fun. There were a few minor issues ( older building so, patch jobs, cracks here and there, bathroom light crooked, sliding glass door bent and difficult to open, the key cards didn't work every time) but again we didn't care. The overall atmosphere and experience there was worth it and we will definitely be back.

this was our second stay but this time was just my husband and I. Randy had called prior to our stay to make sure we didn't have questions and inquired about needing anything special. I've never had a hotel do that. the staff at the hotel was just so sweet and caring and pleasant, actually seemed to enjoy their job. our room in general was clean also. the bed was so comfy and loved that we had a firmer pillow along with a squishier pillow. PERFECT!

I don't really have any complaints. the room was clean but you could tell there may have been a roof leak at one point but really I'm just picking at this point.

Amazing breakfast buffet. The pool outside was good sized. The bed was comfortable in our room. I slept very good both nights. The staff were always very polite & so great.

The price was expensive. Also someone pooped in the outside pool & it took over 2 hrs before they allowed people back in the pool so they could clean. There were stains on our sheets. The extra sheets in the closet for the pull out bed were not clean. I went to make the pull out bed & there were nasty stains on the sheets & a sticky substance on the sheet. I went to the front desk & got new sheets.

This hotel is in a great location. We were visiting Hershey Park, which was only about 10 minutes away. It's also close to many restaurants, shopping malls, and other attractions, like Indian Echo Caverns. The hotel has all the amenities that a family could need, and also has some pet friendly rooms. It was a great value for everything that it had to offer. The staff were more than helpful and friendly. All issues were handled promptly.

There was no microwave in our room. We were able to call the front desk, and somebody brought us one right away. There was alot of noise from the neighbors, slamming doors, sliding their patio doors open constantly, and loud music was being played late at night. One night, somebody knocked on our door and ran away, and could be heard, running up and down the halls all night. There is an outdoor hot tub, which is for adults only, but at one point their were several young children, unattended in the hot tub. They were jumping in, and splashing, but security did come and make them leave.

The staff was was so kind and helpful. Every person. Extra thanks to the staff at breakfast, for being above and beyond kind, thoughtful, and helpful!

We would love to see more a sustainable approach…. The gas leaf blower, lack of recycling instead of trash cans, the plastic and styrofoam for takeaway at the restaurant, all the plastic for the toiletries in the room … there are solutions for all of those, and more, that we see at other hotels and would be much appreciated here!

I was impressed even before arrival. I actually booked for a young flight attendant that was kindly transporting a new puppy to my home. The General Manager Randy, called me as a courtesy. He asked if he could do anything such as airport transfer. I told him the story of my puppy and he was happy to help with anything she needed. As it turns out, the breeder forgot to add the leash and food into her bag so someone from the Red Lion staff took her to Target to get what she needed. It was a small courtesy that helped immensely with the comfort and care of my little pup and the person transporting her. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is traveling in this area. The price was competitive and the amenities as described. The rooms were large and comfortable.
