Fairfield Inn by Marriott Hazleton

Our room was nice size for our group. It was easy to check in and we had no problem locating our room. The breakfast was fine and the staff were friendly.

We had a sofa bed which really needed to have the mattress on it replaced. Housekeeping staff didn't even touch our room the day after our first night's stay. The following day they asked if we needed anything and we asked for clean towels and I don't think we ever received them. I tried calling the main desk a few times and no one ever answered so when I had questions I had to go down there and find someone. When checking out, there was no one at the desk. I waited a few minutes and then I just left my keys on the counter because I was ready to go.

I really liked the location of hotel. The restaurant Damon's, across from hotel is great and offers hotel guests 10% off. The hotel and rooms were very clean and smelled fresh. The staff was super friendly and helpful also.

We found the beds to be way to bouncy. Anytime my husband moved I felt it and about bounced off the bed..lol. Breakfast was pretty disappointing. Nothing to really choose from. Hard boiled eggs were definitely hard. Packaged Breakfast sandwiches that weren't great and barely warm. Last day there they offered scrambled eggs that were over cooked. Breakfast was just not good. Having a microwave in room would of been nice to heat up food. Thought the room was a bit pricey for what was offered, but apparently it was homecoming during that time and all hotels were expensive.

I liked the fact that the hot breakfast was complimentary. Most hotels/motels who offer a complimentary breakfast only has basic breakfast foods that you do not need to heat up and can eat as is. Location was great as well, lots of restaurant's around and activities for family time. I have 2 toddlers so we did have fun with the bowling and mini golf that was just a few miles down the road. Front desk, Daniella, she was great!! Great people person and anything we needed, we felt free to ask her without a doubt. At first I felt like we were annoying by calling and asking too many questions but she made it clear that we shouldn't feel like that, and we were more than welcome to ask her for any needs and she would supply the best way she could! Super polite, always had a smile and never fake.

I wish there was a little more variety with the breakfast as shown on the picture on the website. The hot breakfast was the same all 3 days I was there and not how the picture on the website was presented. My children also only had 2 options for cereal and our very last day they only had the one option.

I liked that I could park undercover during the rainstorm while I checked in. The staff was friendly once I engaged with them. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of great coffee and flavored creamers.

The early morning noise was not the best. Because I was located right next to the kitchen, I was woken by the kitchen noise even earlier than I would normally be awake. When that room is booked in the future, it would be a nice courtesy to make sure that the guests don't mind being woken prior to 5 a.m. by the crew who is preparing the breakfast.

Staff was fairly friendly. Breakfast had many decent choices. It felt clean.

Strong fragrance in the room. I am allergic to strong fragrances. Had the air conditioning unit that would turn off and on continually. I couldn’t set a fan to stay on, so it kept waking me up in the night

hot and cold faucet pipes in bathroom are reversed. shower curtain bar is too high and curtain does not prevent water from splashing on the floor. Toilet was too low for adults. My Marriott Bonvoy membership was not eligible for points because I made my reservation thru a so-called third party, Booking.com

The hotel staff is polite, they are ready to help with whatever was needed . I also liked that the tv was a good size and the room was appealing. There was a refrigerator in my room and microwave in the lobby which was convenient.

I did not like that even though the sheets were clean , they had a weird smell . I also did not like the bathroom tub looked like it had not been scrubbed in a while. Fortunately, I brought cleaning supplies and I showered in slippers.

I liked my room. The showers were good. The pool was well.

The sauna was heated charcoal instead of water vapor. Very disappointing. Also Tracy was not the best in customer service if I must say. She was not pleasant and not good.

On a whole it was the perfect location for us to visit our friends at Eagle Rock lake and checking out a few local wineries and breweries

Can’t wait for a real breakfast again in hotels. Not your fault. We had to eat out the 2nd day because the bagels were not very good on day1. Woulda rather had toast. That’s why I put value at 3 outta 4. We were a little disappointed the pool was closed but no biggie.

The breakfast was very disappointing..However, the sign explaining the slow arrival of some supplies and the 'safety measures' involved in 'food handling' because of Covid-19 did explain the disappointing 'packaged food'..

Only the breakfast was a let down.....
