Hampton Inn Hazleton

Location was perfect. Reception was helpful. Breakfast staff were attentive. Standard expectations of a Hampton Inn property were in place, although not up to pre-pandemic quality.

The stench of cigarette smoke in the reception area, breakfast area, hallway & elevator was overwhelming. It was always present. It was there when we first walked in at check-in & the next morning when we checked out. Hard to eat breakfast, early in the morning, with the stink of cigarette smoke. A TV channel list in the room would be very helpful.

Great location, very pleasant staff, good breakfast, maintained well except for the cleanliness of the modern show drain design.

Shower drain design has rectangular plate covering it. This plate is apparently not removed during cleaning. I removed this plate and cleaned a horrible mess (feces, hair, etc) that had build up between it and the drain. Please have cleaning staff remove these plates and clean the drain underneath.

The cleanliness of the hotel and location is accessible. 2nd time to book here for accommodation.

We booked this place for a weekend wedding of a friend in PA. Unfortunately the elevator wasn't working at a certain time and I have to use the fire exit staircase to participate in a Wedding Pictorial. My friend who was a bride at the very Saturday has to walk down from 3rd Floor fire exit staircase with her bridal gown to ground level. oops. Not a perfect time to have a malfunctioning elevator.

sent my daughter and husband prepaid thru Booking but was never told a credit card was needed on site. Got a call at 1 am because they were not allowed to access their room due to no credit card. Should have been provided to the hotel by Booking. We are not the kind of people who wreck rooms. Very disappointed and ruined my night to get that call. Will not book this way again !!!

Bottom line is you can never go wrong with a Hampton Inn. They are exceptionally clean, updated, modern, with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Plus you get their simple but very nice breakfast bar included. In this case for a road trip we don’t even look elsewhere. Hampton Inns can be found easily accessible from the highway all over so we plan how long to drive and pick one. The Hazleton property met all these expectations.

I liked the size of the room, the layout of the room. The beds were crisp, clean and comfortable. Good TV channels

However, The Shower floor, and the drain were filthy. The walls questionable? The carpet didn’t seem to be very well taken care of, it was dirty😵‍💫 Housekeeping needs to be stepped up several notches!! And the road noice was loud…. I wont stay there again, I spent to much $ for having those conditions

Breakfast was perfect for a quick bite before getting back on the road. Nice to have the restaurant right on the property to grab a bite or a beverage.

The actual area where the breakfast food was is pretty small and felt like people were on top of one another trying to get to things.

The rooms and the views were beautiful!! The lobby, the halls, the pool were clean at all times. The beds were very comfortable.

We couldn't watch tv while we were in the rooms, no cable, no TV guide, no Bluetooth connection to our phones. That was the only complaint!

The check-in and check-out was really great. We got in really late and checked out an hour late and the staff was very understanding and didn't make a big deal out of it.

Nothing, it was great all the way around.

breakfast was basic, with limited choice, but perfectly adequate. Coffee was actually very good. Facilities were clean. Staff was friendly.

More breakfast choice would have been nice. Lighting in room was OK, not super.
