Well maintain. Bed was very comfortable. Room size was perfect. Felt safe. Free mini golf with stay!

Room a little dated.

Great place to stay in Hot Springs. It's small, but very clean and well kept! Wally is a fantastic host...goes out of his way to get the best coffee and breakfast items, no cheap crap. Mini golf place on the premises which is free for guests and is a blast!. A really nice heated outdoor and a creek walk right out front. I would highly recommend!!

The town of Hot Springs weirdly closes really early during the week. All the restaurants close by 7:30 except some of the dive bar burger places. Some really nice places with outdoor seating too, just a shame they close so early.

Everything at Hills Inn is well thought out and well maintained! The mini-golf course is fantastic, the complimentary breakfast was fresh, good, and clean. Delicious coffee! We truly enjoyed our stay!

It is obvious that the owner has maintained the property and made repairs through the years, very, very carefully. However, someday soon it may be time to think about doing a total replacement of things like bathtubs, outlets, etc. Nothing wrong with what is there, but when thinking about competing with newer establishments...just a thought! :)

The owner is friendly & helpful. I would have given a 10 rating but it is an older hotel still clean & quaint. Really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning…especially the fresh fruit & hard boiled eggs. Coffee is very good also. Beds are very comfortable. Miniature golf was fun & nice little pool too. It was an easy drive to area parks and attractions.

I didn’t really find anything negative about the place…but I wasn’t looking for a luxury resort either. We wanted a nice, clean place with comfortable beds and free breakfast. Having a nice outdoor pool to cool off in and a fun miniature golf course we’re special bonuses

The HillsInn is essentially a motel which is very popular with motor cyclists during the Sturgis Rallye. We appreciated the warm, humorous welcome, the cleanliness, the practical infrastructure, and the nice pool. Had we stayed longer, we definitely would have taken advantage of the free mini golf.

Breakfast is served by the reception where you won't find any tables - that's not very practical if you are travelling with children. However, you will find nice cafés nearby and you could also opt for breakfast in your room. Hot Springs is definitely worth visiting, and the HillsInn provides a nice base for a stay in the region.

This hotel is very clean, has comfortable pillows & beds, has an outdoor pool & a mini golf course, and is close to a beautiful walking path along the river. The owners are so friendly, and there's great coffee (& good creamer) as well as plenty of grab & go breakfast options. Fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, biscuits & gravy. I highly recommend this hotel

Nothing I didn't like. Everything was good.

We really loved this hotel!! The beds are so comfy the bathroom a nice size too. We really liked the benches outside the rooms to sit on after a long day sightseeing. Biscuits and gravy with coffee and fruits for breakfast is a plus too. Coffee microwave and fridge in our room and a beautiful room. But most importantly is Wally the owner who is so funny and wonderful to talk too. He gave us sightseeing tips too and tips on the moccasin springs, cascade falls and restaurants. We loved everything here!

Nothing not to like!!

The pool was great and having mini golf near by was an awesome option. I liked the location a little away from the busyness of keystone or rapid city. Although the owner Wally was what really made this place special. I have never met a business owner that takes so much pride in what he does. He also treats every guest like they are a friend who has come to visit. If you want to know anything about the area heck even the state he can tell you about it.

Nothing I can say it was a great place.

Great location, easy access to everything Hot Springs has to offer. The owner is a great guy with a wealth of knowledge of the area and is willing to share. You can tell he really cares. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. It reminds me of those cool motels from the 50s and 60s era movies, which is super cool. The mini golf course is also a nice touch and was fun for all of our kids. Next time we are in the area, this is the only place we will consider.

I didn't find anything wrong with the place. Very satisfied!

The owner is very nice and helpful with suggestions for local food, sights, and travel info. The hotel is an oldfashioned travel lodge where you park in front of your room door which makes loading and unloading the car easy. Laundry room near the nice, clean outdoor pool. The free continental breakfast is basic, but sufficient.
