My Place Hotel - Sioux Falls, SD

The clerk on duty on the morning I checked out is the only reason I gave the hotel a good to excellent rating.

smokers including someone who appeared to be a. employee at the entrance to the hotel. lack of support or cohesion with the third party I booked the room through. Lobby was not exactly cleaned.

I appreciated the cleanliness of the entire facility! Everything was comfortable, in good repair, and cleaner than anything we had stayed in for a long time! Gooooood management and housekeeping!! The kitchen was helpful and the large recliner was nice.

Outdoors areas could have used a little tidying up.

would have liked breakfast with the cost of the motel. spent 65 for breakfast for the four of us. could have offered just bananas or a muffin.

was going to stay another night as offer for 76.00 but your staff would not price match my offer because they could not get it on the staff phone which is not my problem that they could not find it on the staff phone showed them two different spots that offered the $76.00 price.

Comfortable beds,black out curtains, fresh coffee in the a.m.

Why have a stove if you have to buy the pots and pans? Shouldn't at least one be provided? Also, utensils!

My family loved having the kitchen in the room itself. It helped us cut the expenses for the whole trip. Amazing!!!

I wish breakfast was not charged separate. Breakfast should be included as part of the fee already paid for the rooms.

the rooms were clean. liked the half kitchen (even though unused). staff was friendly.

location wasn't the best, couldn't make a left turn onto a main street. homeless encampment in the parking lot.

Staff gave us the right room, bookings gave us a room for hearing impaired not wheelchair.

Only had 4 spot's for wheelchair and were full hill both ways. No Breakfast!

My Place chains seem to be really good in our experience. This Sioux Falls location was very clean and had comfortable beds for our one night stopover. The location is down a dark side street not far from the interstate and can be difficult to find the first time at night. Check-in was easy and the hotel was very quiet. They gave us a top floor room away from the elevator which was exactly what we asked. The pet fee was $10.00 which I feel could be eliminated - seemed like a fee just to have a fee. Also, there were no pots, pans or dishes at all which we felt was odd as there is a stove and sink in the room. Just an advertising note: The hotel corporate office may want to consider a rebranding as “My Place” lettering, color and name do not seem to fit this very nice hotel chain It does add to the “better than I expected” review but reminds me of a hotel brand McDonald’s would franchise. I like to look for this hotel when traveling as each one has been a great value and quality.

Pet fee of $10 - seemed like a fee “just because”. No dishes or pans although it had a small kitchenette.

Staff was kind. Option to have a fan running all the time was great. Love the option to have ice in freezer.

Staff not paying attention to guests at front desk. I was one of them twice, saying, "ahem" and "is anyone here?" She finally came out from the side office, and said, oh, sometimes I get busy and can't watch the screen." But I was the only guest in the lobby.

No breakfast except for Jimmy Dean biscuits available at the mini commissary

Seemed to have some trouble with the checkout. Paid in advance I believe booking.com. But at checkout said we owed the amount in cash. Supervisor came in and took care of it, but kind of delayed our departure by about 25 minutes.
