Our whole hotel stay - 2 nights - was wonderful, we had got three double rooms and the suite. We have a huge family and everyone was able to sleep comfortably and enjoy themselves. Highly recommend the suite for larger families - kitchen was AMAZING. My kids enjoyed it as it was literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel to the beach. We hardly had to drive exempt for late night food runs but other than like great stay!

Lack of restaurants however still Whataburger does help in a pinch so no worries on that :) Stairs were a pain but hey that is the exercise needed.

I liked the convenience of being able to walk to the beach. I originally booked this hotel to visit the restaurant fajitaville but unfortunately they have shut down. very spacious the shower pressure is wowza I will give this stay a 10/10.. stay here to be able to walk to the beach !

overall the hotel may not look so great from the outside. I just wish they didn’t have carpet in the rooms because that shower pressure is so good it sprays out to the room even with the barn door closed also it’s so powerful the shower curtain constantly flys around. if you are using the toilet get ready to be in the splash zone if shower in use. The sand is horrible to get off but I will guarantee getting in that shower you will feel like a new person

Location was great and the room was a good size, comfortable bed, great shower, microwave and fridge. Staff was very warm and friendly.

The outside of the hotel is in great disrepair. Needs a new coat of paint and someone to clean the outside up. Sweep or blow off the steps, etc. It looks very run down from the outside. The room was clean EXCEPT the lamps looked as if they have never been dusted and are very rusty. Everything else looked very clean and tidy. No bad smells and air worked nicely. TV needs some instructions maybe. It was hard for us to use it.

We stayed at the Hotel D'Ville because of the location. We were in town visiting my mom for Christmas and she lives up the street a couple of blocks. Our room was very clean. The staff were exceptional! Very friendly and accommodating, Our room was very clean and beds were really comfortable. I also liked that the bathroom had double sinks and was big. This was our second stay. We will definitely stay again.

The room we stayed in (110) was gorgeous! The furnishings where really nice and had a chic and airy feel. The bed was really comfy and there where more than enough towels in the bathroom, which was great. It was immaculately clean but for a little lime and soap scum build up on some of the tiles in the shower, this is an easy fix with some lime away cleaner. The view of the ocean was stunning especially first thing in the morning watching the sunrise 🌅

The exterior of the building could do with a little tlc.

The location was really nice, right by the beach. Rooms were clean and cozy. Beds comfy. Shower had amazing water pressure. No nasty musty smells. Discounted tickets for the USS Lexington and within walking distance.

The construction was terrible. Getting back onto the highway was confusing. If I had anything bad to say about the hotel it was just more of an FYI. The bed frames could use a vacuum and a wipe down as the corners had collected dust etc. And the tile in the bathroom could use a good scrumb. But I'm nit picking at that point! Great hotel great location. Would stay again!

Close to beach,clean modern room with great heat&a/great shower water pressure.

Not sure if I got my AAA/AARP,discount I I left at day early, due to wrather,but I'll call booking. Com ,tried hotel direct didn't get A answer, but I'm sure we'll git it straightened out.I'm looking forward to staying with them on my nxt trip down, my boys liked the whole set up ,1st time at beach or ocean ,had a blast 6yrs old&12yrs.

Pretty good hotel right on the beach. Everything seemed pretty new and clean. Best part was that it was within walking distance to the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium which is great for ease as well as saving the parking fees! Staff was friendly and quick with check in and check out. Offered tickets to USS Lexington and Aquarium right there as well. Some covered parking as long as they aren’t full. Over all good hotel for the price.

The only stranger thing in my opinion was there wasn’t a real door on the bathroom, just a sliding door that left some space between the wall. Until they finish the construction, it’s confusing and a little difficult to get around there.

Staff was super friendly, hassle-free and courteous. I was SUPER impressed with everything about this hotel. When we visited, winds were crazy high and a singular board had been blown loose from the rail. I only noticed because it was right in front of our room. When I saw it, it was really late at night so I didn't bother calling the front desk to inform them. I figured I could just let them know the next morning. I didn't get the opportunity to inform them because the next morning the maintenance man was simply walking by, noticed it, knelt down to inspect it and immediately got the supplies he needed and fixed it. A lot of places wouldn't have worried about this tiny board, but he did! It's little things like that that make a great hotel. The room was SUUUUPER cute! Very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was actually a lot like our bed at home. That was impressive to me. We had a fantastic view of the beach and the rooms were awesome about drowning out sounds from outside.

The only thing I can say that was "wrong" with the room was that the coffee pot didn't work. I have zero doubts that had we told the front desk they would have replaced it, but we forgot to tell them. Also, they could have told us certain parking spots were for permanent residents instead of calling us at midnight to move our truck.

Very close to the beach. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Staff was really knowledgeable on local restaurants and good places to eat. Staff was able to help get discounted tickets to the Texas State Aquarium. My daughter loved having her birthday weekend by the beach here. Very memorable!!
