*Chose this hotel because it offered Smoking Rooms (3 on the 3rd floor at end of hallway) and didn't want to have to go outside in below freezing temps* Check In was easy and friendly. $20 pet deposit. Good location off the highway. Near major restaurants (Check out Whistle Stop Cafe or Hometown Cooking). Water pressure was good. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Elevator was efficient. Fridge/MW in room.

TV is analog (??) so many of the stations are very glitchy. Breakfast was choice of waffles, oatmeal or cereal. (But choices for fast food or sit down restaurants nearby are plentiful)

Ambiance, location and staff knowledge. Breakfast was very good and they even have a wafflemaker in the shape of Texas. So fun and really good, too. First time in Decatur and felt at home. Even townspeople very friendly and helpful.

Well, it was a dark and foggy night and I was in a strange town. In December night comes early but I did want to eat. Food was close and happy to cuddle up in bed when I got back.

Breakfast was a little weak -- They had bananas and tangerines and orange juice, but for the main your choices were white bread toast, Texas shaped waffle, fruit loops, cornflakes, and instant oatmeal.

Nice clean place. Nice beds.

I prefer coffee in the room. There was no facial tissue in the room/bathroom. The tv channels were analog (very fuzzy).

Probably the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed at. I’ve done a lot of traveling for work and have stayed at a lot of hotels, the cleanliness was exceptional.

My husband and I come to Decatur every other month and we always stay at Lone Star Inn. The staff are great. It’s always very clean. I enjoy my Texas shaped waffle for breakfast each time. We’ve asked for extra towels and such when booking and it’s always in the room waiting for us when we get there. 10 out of 10!

Good location

Only complain is about the shower. There was barely any pressure. Advise to invest on better shower heads. everything else was fine.

The staff was extremely friendly. The location was perfect for what I needed. The rooms, while showing their age a bit, were clean and well stocked. Over sized mini fridge was a nice surprise. The price was considerably lower than most chain hotels.

The hallways smelled horrible of cigarettes!!!! How the rooms didnt, I don’t know. The halls were almost unbearable. The breakfast was very sparse and disappointing in comparison to other chain hotels, but is congruent with the price. So if you want the large buffet breakfast, pay more to stay elsewhere.

I didn’t have reservations but they were accommodated. The facility was clean and inviting.
