This was a bit out of the ordinary for me. I usually get a hotel room. The Inn was out near Luckenbach and wasn't what I was expecting. There are four little German A frame houses on the property - set around an acre or so. The owners came out with us and explained where things were in the house. They have paid much attention to detail in the house with cute little German furnishings everywhere. It is quite lovely. As in the photos you see the 2nd bedroom is upstairs and you must climb a pull-out ladder.... (Make sure you count your stairs, so you know how many there are when you come down to the main level or need to go to the bathroom.) The breakfast in the morning was delicious German bread, hard boiled eggs, cheese and meats, yogurt and fruit, orange and apple juice. They bring it to your front door around 7:30 am. and it was lovely. There is a fridge, a microwave, a coffeepot, hairdryer, great air-conditioning - most of the comforts of home. I loved it. Very different. It was refreshing to hear the birds, roosters, and just be in the country a bit. There is a firepit you are welcomed to use any night you are there. I wish we had gone out to enjoy the night sky - I am sure we could have seen many stars from there.

It was absolutely wonderful. The first night we got there the ac had gone out and Henry called multiple ac repair shops and got it fixed that night! Thank u so much! And after that it was just perfect. He’s done an amazing job on the property! Beautiful lighting, darling frog pond, soothing waterfall. The cottage is so cozy, the bed was perfect, soft pillows & supportive mattress. The breakfast, although not what Americans expect, cold meat, cheese, bread, fruit & yogurt, was very good and really all we needed.. Barbara and Henry and super sweet and welcoming. We just loved it so much we stayed an extra night. We didn’t wanna leave. The grounds were so incredible that I think this sets them apart from all other B&B’s in the area. We’ll be returning as soon as we can.

Needing some towels in the kitchenette for dish drying. I would have liked the breakfast to not be the exact same items daily, variety would have been nice. The only other thing I’d say is it was so expertly decorated that every spot had a trinket. I wanted some extra space in the bathroom to put my things. As well as maybe a small set of drawers to unpack just a lil. We were there 4 nights and that’s a lot not to be able to have easy access to clothing and personal items. Otherwise this is the PERFECT get away! I would recommend this property to everyone!

Henry and Barbara were so welcoming and helpful! Oir cottage was so adorable, the breakfast was hand delivered to our porch, and the grounds were peaceful and reminded us of a fairy garden, especially at night! One of a kind place!

The loft area was very warm, even when the AC was on. It was so uncomfortable, I ended up sleeping on the loveseat downstairs. There were also ants throughout the cottage.

Very cute and cozy little cottages with friendly owners that really wanted to make your stay great excluding soft music as you arrive in the cottage. I loved waking up to breakfast on the porch each morning. The drive to town was short and they had so much to do. All around great experience

The upstairs bed is a little stiff

The cottage was adorable, and you can tell the hosts care about providing a personal touch for their guests. We arrived to find a complimentary bottle of wine, and chocolates on the bed. The mini fridge had a few drink options, and they provided coffee and tea. The area was fairly quiet, and the lights aren’t too bright at night, so you can see the stars! The fire pit is a great feature — I brought fixings for s’mores, and was pleased to find that they already had skewers there for their guests. There are small stumps around the fire pit made into seating options. Breakfast in the morning was European and tasty: prosciutto, brie, hard boiled eggs, bread and jams for toast, fruit, and yogurt. It was nice to have so many choices, and some variety from one morning to the next. The water pressure in the shower was good, and the provided towels were soft. We had a great time in this peaceful, private getaway spot. I have already recommended it to some friends and my in-laws are already looking to stay there sometime! Also, there is a tiny loft space with a twin bed, accessible by a ladder that rolls into place, in case a family of three wants to stay here.

To me, the bed was a bit firmer than my preference. The Wi-Fi connection was spotty, and unfortunately our cell signal wasn’t great in the area either. But the upside of that was that we were able to truly disconnect and relax.

Exceptional location, beautiful grounds. Various options to gather: fire pit, outdoor bar in front of cottages. Visits from 4 baby ducks (adorable!) and very friendly cats. Wake up in the morning with the roosters, but the cottages are so well insulated that you don't hear them until you open the door. We didn't want to leave....

This place is exactly what you see on the website. Henrich and Barbara were delightful. The many touches added through the cabin added to the fun! We would have liked to spend more time just enjoying both the indoor and outdoor space. You won't even miss the TV! My 13 year old granddaughter said "this place is magiical!"

The facilities are amazing. Is it a 5 star hotel, absolutely not. if that’s what you’re looking for, look elsewhere. if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing and theatrical like cottage, this is your place! Traditional German cottage to say the least. The facilities were very well maintained, very clean and absolutely comfortable. Breakfast was on your porch in a protected case at 0800 on the dot and ready for you to grab I at your leisure. Breakfast was an assortment of cheeses, meats and bread with butter, jellies and orange juice. We stayed in the rapunzel cottage and when I opened the door, I was amazed! It was like walking through time machine! My wife is a germaphobe to say the least and not once did she have a negative word about cleanliness or the state of upkeep. 10 minute drive from Main Street and 20+ wine vineyards. Obviously going in the winter it’s not as pretty (scenery wise) but we plan on going back in the spring to check out all the wildflowers. If you’re looking for a cultural change with the benefits of comfort and easy accessibility, this is your place! Kids would absolutely love staying here. I showed my daughter the pics, she’s 13, she was mad we didn’t take her.

I haven’t a negative word about this place. It was the perfect getaway!

We loved the facility. And the service was excellent. Both owners were friendly and very accommodating. Loved the breakfast, It was quiet and relaxing. Recommended if you want to get away and have peace.
