The location is by far the best part about this property. It is more quiet and remote than I expected but still just a short drive into Fredericksburg. The scenery overlooking the canyon is amazing. The cabin is almost much more comfortable than I expected.

Not a negative, but there were a lot of instructions and reminders. Definitely helpful and I can tell all of them were caused by previous folks, but it is a lot to review.

We stayed at the Siesta cabin. We loved how peaceful it was. It was secluded from noise. The cabin was completely stocked with amenities, supplies and utensils for cooking. They thought of everything! There were seasonings for the meat or fish, charcoal, lighter fluid, a grill. There was even aluminum foil and parchment paper. They stocked the fridge with fresh fruit, farm fresh eggs, biscuit dough, Canadian bacon, coffee, creamer.. anything you need for a delicious breakfast. Carl & Rhonda are so friendly and they made us feel at home. They provided us with doggy treats and corn for the deer and chickens. They also stock the cow treats so we can feed the cows. They have a small garden with tomatoes and peppers. We took one beefsteak tomato to make with our breakfast. And finally, the night sky, you can't get enough of it. If you have a telescope bring it with you.

The only thing we didn't like was that we didn't spend more days there. If you're looking for peace, tranquility and great views this is the place the stay at.

The peace, solitude and at home feeling are all equally exceptional at this property. Each and every detail has been thought of, all the way down to labeling the light switches and instructions on the tv remote. Carl and Rhonda are beyond wonderful and we feel like we have known them for years even though we just met.

The property is off the beaten path, but we loved that quality because we really felt like we had “gotten away.”

Beautiful setting, and the cabins were lovely. Well appointed and clean, and thoughtfully stocked. Farm fresh eggs from their own chickens and a selection of food and coffee from local folks. Everyone we talked to in town about the property spoke highly of the owners, and I can't agree more. lovely people and a great stay. 10/10 would happily stay again.

The staff was wonderful, they made us feel like we were ar home and very kind. The breakfast was top notch and the overall experience was wonderful. I even had some minor issues with my motorcycle and Carl helped in every way possible. We will definitely be coming back.

It was great

The locally sourced breakfast ingredients were delicious. It was very peaceful, serene and quiet. The bed was super comfy and the towels were very fluffy. The host, Carl and Rhonda, were very friendly and accommodating. We LOVED feeding the deer from our back patio and appreciated that the hosts left us corn to feed them.

Our cabin did not have access to the hot tub, which we knew before arrived. We were not disappointed, but I wonder if there is a way that more cabins could have access to the hot tub. At a cabin we stayed at in another state guests signed up for an hour at the hot the day before. Just a thought.

The views from the patio were amazing. The canine was adorable and well outfitted. The items provided for breakfast were perfect.

It was a little further from town than expected but the drive made it interesting. Returning to the cabin after dark made me a little nervous but my husband (the driver) had no complaints.

This was a wonderful cabin for a two night stay with family members. The view was excellent, and the cabin was as advertised. The hosts Carl and Rhonda were very accommodating, and made us feel very welcome. 

The stove/oven was very dated. It made it difficult to bake the provided biscuits. But that did not overshadow the wonderful ingredients provided.

Everything was absolutely perfect, since the moment we arrived we felt every little detail and thought put into the cabin. The cabin was amazing, confortable, good amenities and very nice touches. Location was great, totally secluded and there was absolutely no sound but wildlife. Stargazing was just incredible, one of the best experiences ever! We were able to feed the cows in the property and the deer right in front of our cabin too! Excellent stay, 100% recommended. We'll definitely be back again.

Lovely hosts. Very accommodating. Loved being surrounded by nature. Especially a roof deck to see the stars.

Limited hot water so I did feel a little rushed to take a comfortable shower. But not the worst thing in the world.
