Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Rockport

Rooms where clean, but did notice maybe they didn’t vacuum too well. Everything else was clean, restroom clean and the pool was clean and while eating breakfast was clean. Breakfast was good it had a little of everything eggs, sausage or bacon, biscuits, waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee or hot tea. Stayed for two nights and it was a quiet stay and relaxing. Will be coming back hopefully soon!

Better at vacuuming the rooms. Other than that great on everything else.

Front staff was amazing!!! Hotel was super clean!! All the amenities were great. The bathroom was very large which I’m most hotels is a coat closet so this was perfect. We even used the pool which we never do because it was very inviting and clean, plenty of room for kids to Play and splash without disturbing others .. we were the “others”. Definitely will be staying again!

Top of the list of our likes was the friendliness of the staff. Our bed was comfortable and provided a good night’s rest. We enjoyed the change of the soap / shampoo products in dispensers in the shower as opposed to small little bottles that may or may not have enough contents to last the stay. The facility was super clean! One of the housekeeping staff was even so concerned for our safety at one time when we were stepping off the elevator where she had just mopped. She heard the elevator doors open and quickly turned around to warn us the floors were wet and to be careful. Although we didn’t eat at the breakfast buffet this stay, due to meeting up with family instead, the delicious aroma that filled the air as we stepped out of the elevator was wonderful, only to be topped by the staff member’s (who was attending to the breakfast set up) warm welcoming smile and “good morning, how are you!” greeting as we made our way to the lobby. The desk attendant who checked us in on arrival was very pleasant as also was the attendant on check out.

The only items for the dislike column are very minimal. Our bathroom door would not stay open on its own without being propped. The hotel bar was not open due to staffing issues. We were visiting family and it would’ve been nice to come back to the hotel for an evening drink after our dinner. Again the desk clerk was right on top of it apologizing for the inconvenience and even offered to give us suggestions for other business in town if we wanted. So really not anything substantial to complain or make note of.

Loved how clean the place was. Great location for everything in town. Polite employees. The shampoo and conditioner.

There was no couch/chair to relax on in the room. They had no roll away beds....if a room is to fit four people there needs to be an option of a pull out bed. Three of us girls had to sleep in one bed. Then one guy in the other. Breakfast never once had pancakes, waffles, or bacon. It was always biscuits and gravy. Only two choices of cereal available. I expect more for the type of money paid. There was no hot tub... This was extremely disappointing.

The coffee and food was tasty and good variety.

The food was very good. The breakfast service area was too close so didn’t flow well. Everyone had to crowd together trying to get to the food and drinks.

Convenience to the places we needed to attend.

Pillows were terrible, and no tub in our bathroom. That might be my fault since I assumed that most hotel rooms had bath tubs.

Asked for an early check in (just about an hour early ) and was declined even though in my opinion the hotel was not full and I feel the room was ready. Just wanted to get my belongings out of the very hot car.

Location is close to the beach. Staff is very professional and kind. It was a holiday weekend so it was busy so it was clean but not as clean as other times I visit.

First ever stay at a Fairfield Inn. Young man on front desk at check in was friendly and helpful. Two working elevators(never a wait). Clean room. Excellent A/C. Comfortable beds. Good fitness room. Air conditioned hallways ( rare in recent hotel stays). Excellent experience for first time at a Fairfield Inn.

Attempt at hot breakfast falls short but it is mainly due to Covid issues. Cold offerings are just not worth the effort but this is not unique to just Hampton Inn.

Because of COVID-19 concerns the buffet style breakfast was changed but they still made a GREAT effort to meet the needs of everyone. The Front Desk staff was AMAZING!

My room wasn’t cleaned. I had the do not disturb removed from my door at 9am and left at 10am and when I got back at 4:30pm my room was still not cleaned. I also don’t like the 4pm check in time. If you are driving from far distances the last thing you want to hear when you arrive between 12-3pm is “check in is at 4pm you have to wait and we will call you when the room is available.
