room was good- towels were ok-

didnt like the towels, they were not soft- didn't care for the staff- unless you were white you got acknowledged !! when we arrived Gwendowlyn checked us in we were not offered any bottled water or cookies-when we arrived at 4pm- when we came down the next morning for breakfast we were not acknowledged- we stood in the lobby waiting for my husband to get the car and the lady at the front desk NEVER OPENED HER MOUTH TO SPEAK TO SAY HELLO OR CAN SHE HELP US WITH ANYTHING- BUT AS SOON AS 3 WHITE PEOPLE STEPPED OFF THE ELEVELATOR SHE SPOKE NOT ONCE TO THEM BUT TWICE TO THEM AND STILL NEVER OPENED HER MOUTH TO US- I I LITERATLY HAD TO ADDRESS HER AND SHE WAS LIKE OOH IM SORRY!! REALLY..

I loved the check in process. The person who greeted us gave each of us a cookie and let us spin a wheel, which awarded things from the store. He was kind and informative and made me feel very welcomed. Rooms were very clean, paid breakfast was very good. I will certainly stay here again.

The bar wine glasses were spotty. I required the bar tender to wipe them down before the pour. The wine served came from a screw top bottle which isn't synonymous for a higher-tier wine. Not complaining about the wine at all, I mean, it's a hotel, not a chop house. Anyways, it was more about the dirty glasses.

The staff was wonderful. The room was nice and it was great for being so close to Fiesta Texas! In fact, it was so close that we saw all of their fireworks display on July 4th away from the park.

According to the staff this falls on you. I paid extra for what you said was a $17 breakfast buffet. They told me today they have asked you to remove this several times without any response from you. They stopped this when covid started. Instead, we could order the same meal everyday for the two adults at no charge! We did pay for the two children's meals everyday. They felt so bad for the mix-up that they wiped any meal charge on our bill and had us just pay for the room. This is a nice hotel and you owe it to them and their staff to remove that false information from their listing!

The staff is friendly and professional. Chris checked us in and always made you feel as if he knew you. Sandra served us and went beyond her area to help with using our Fiesta tickets. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is 1 mile from Fiesta Texas and on 1604, so a quick trip to anywhere in the area. And… the cookies are fantastic!

I paid the extra money for the included breakfast for a four night stay. What I did not know was the voucher was only good for 1 particular breakfast and couldn’t be used for a different one, such as the pancakes at the same price. Oatmeal was offered the last morning, but was not helpful because my granddaughter does not like it. I was told this is a Booking.com problem, but someone needs to fix it, or at least communicate this clearly up front.

Waited 45 minutes for someone to wait on us to order breakfast. We had 2 adults and four kids. It didn’t matter how many times we made eye contact or try and get a server’s attention they kept ignoring us. Finally had to walk to the front desk and ask if they could get someone to wait on us. Not a deal breaker but next time we will eat at the local restaurants and save money and time.

The room and facilities were nice, with an exercise room and pool. It also had a small bar. This hotel does not offer a free complimentary breakfast, but does have an excellent breakfast, cooked to order, that was reasonably priced. It is right off Loop 1604, near plenty of shops, and restaurants. There are several attractions, such as Six Flags nearby.

The beds were a little on the hard side, and the traffic noises from Loop 1604 was a little noticeable at night, though not extremely loud.

It was very convenient being very close to LA Cantera shops and a few minutes from The Rim . Being right off 1604 loop very easy to get around SA

The only problem was or is minor but, when I wanted to lightly press a dress shirt that was synthetic blend material . The irons setting on dial were no longer visible and was not able get wrinkles out of my shirt and didnt want to ruin it obviously.

I loved the location of the DoubleTree due to it's close proximity to both La Cantera and The Rim where my family and I could dine and shop. The staff was welcoming and friendly upon arrival and even made it a point to check-in with us every day to see how our stay was going. The room was spacious and inviting, and I loved the design and size of the bathroom.

The pillows were not as soft and comfortable as I had remembered them being at other DoubleTree's I have stayed at. I also noticed the left side of the air condition unit vent appeared to be falling apart though it fully functioned as expected throughout our stay.

I thought just about everything was amazing about this property! The only thing I would change is having the staff be more vocal. Check in was rushed and I couldn’t hear anything she was saying. Also, everytime I tried calling the front desk, no one ever answered which was pretty aggravating. But everything else was awesome!!

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff where nice, the rooms were clean, the facility was clean, we were the only ones in the pool both nights. It was great.

The elevator worked when it wanted to. So most times we had to take the stairs all the way to the 5th floor.
