Hampton Inn Salt Lake City-Layton

Breakfast was good with many selections. Could have been better with real, not turkey sausage, but still very good. Check-in and check-out digitally was wonderful. Bathroom and shower roomy and were excellent. Beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows.

Two queen bed room had absolutely no furniture. The only items were a wall mounted desk and a small, uncomfortable chair with wheels. No additional chair, recliner, couch, table, or anything else. Room was very small, mini-fridge had no small freezer.

The bathroom was great for me, as a disabled person. It had grab bars and a seat for the shower. The shower head could be taken down and moved around as needed, too. They got us extra pillows right away when asked, too. I also like that they provide essentials at the front desk if you forget stuff. Sanitary products were a life-saver.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable. I never did like a firm mattress. The shower curtain was hard to keep closed, especially with the shower seat in place. Just be aware the floor might get wet.

My wife and I loved the size of the bed that we slept in. We also both loved the type of shower that we had. We also loved the breakfast area. We were satisfied with the customer service that was offered.

We do wish that the main part of the hotel room was lit up more or had central light. We also wish the size of the pool was a little bigger so that we wouldn't feel crammed next to everyone. We also wish the same for hot tubs.

the staff, bedding, cleanliness

The tv needs a guide…when we’re travelling we always like to know the weather (most of the hotels we’ve stayed in have a guide button on the remote) so if the main channels were on a card it would be easier to find. Other than that we were happy to treat ourselves to night at the Hampton.

Staff was super friendly. Love dogs are allowed and I felt safe taking my dog out at 3am. Great location in Layton, easy to find and around restaurants and shopping. Also, hotel offered cookies in the evening, a light dinner (didnt take part in that) and a decent breakfast.

Shower temps were on backwards and labeled so, however because of this there was barely a trickel of water, no water pressure. Im sure they would happily moved us rooms but what a pain.

The breakfast offers more than others such as omelets, sausage, hot oatmeal, and variey of beverages. the location is perfect for visiting family and easy on off highways.

Not having enough time to enjoy pool and hot tub. Also the bumps on the parking area are too severe.

Room was pretty clean, breakfast was delicious, front desk attendant was very pleasant

There was an issue in the pool area, not sure if it was a chemical imbalance or poor ventilation, but after 10 minutes of being in the room where the pool was my daughter's eyes were bloodshot and all they could smell is chlorine and bleach for hours, not cool.

I am afraid to say how much our family loves to stay here, because then it will be harder for us to get a room. Lol this place will always be our home away from home when We come to visit family. It's clean, great location and the Breakfast food is really good. Staff is always fun, and very helpful.

Someone needs to check on that poor elavator. Scared me half to death! It's fine till it gets to the floor, then....bump! I'm sure it's fine, but just check it out anyway.

It was clean and felt Covid safe. Comfortable and close to a lot of the shopping places we wanted to go. The front desk lady and I think she was the manager was very helpful on adjusting our price that was stated by Booking .com what it would be.

Everything was Great with this facility. I felt Booking.com needs to be more involved with the facility with the pricing that is stated or guaranteed to the customer. There was a difference of price when I went to leave and checkout and the manager had to do a lot to fix it to what Booking.com had told me on price. I felt it wasn’t the properties fault at all. That’s the only thing I would change.

The pool was great. The room was as nice and big. Everything was very clean and the staff was amazing.

The beds are very firm . The breakfast sausage had an after taste of sausage but wasn't great. The waffles were a bit tough.
