Location is fabulous- right next to the capitol reef national park. The rooms/beds are clean. Shower has nice water pressure. The breakfast has good selections for a reasonable ( not free, not cheap) price.

Part of the reason I skipped other cheaper hotels and picked this one was the colorful tents they had in the pictures of the property. Even though I realized that the room I was booking was probably a regular room, I was looking forward to that good vibe of celebratory evening possibly upgrading to the tent. Upon arrival, noticed that the place was eerily quiet and the tents are really a spring to fall sensation. Had I known it probably would have booked something else. They should probably remove the pictures or put a disclaimer that those happen only during the warmer months. Secondly, the mattresses felt too “springy” to be comfortable.

Really freat staff, location, and food at the restaurant. Love that there's a vegetarian menu at the restaurant. Rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable. Room has everything you need including fridge and new Keurig coffee maker.

Unfortunately, the lighting was poor. Our room was dark enough that it was hard to pack. Also, the small bathroom had very noisy plumbing, which was problematic given that we were on the ground floor and could hear the noisy plumbing from rooms above us. Suspect that this isn't a problem in their newer rooms, we just happened get an older room.

The resort has a large property with beautiful views and some nice amenities, like gas firepits surounded by Adirondack chairs, a nice pool and hot tub. Great location right at the entrance to the park.

I wish I had know about additional room options when booking. Our room's "patio" was little more than a wide exterior hallway. It did have a great view, but I would likely have booked a nicer room facing the lawn and firepits had I known. Also, our fridge wasn't working when we arrived. Maintenance came quickly and said it was fixed but it was not. I was able to reset it myself to get it working.

We have done a lot of traveling and this is probably the coolest place we have stayed. My wife and I had our 4 and 6 year old with us. The room was decorated very nicely and the beds were comfortable. The view while swimming of the mountains is exceptional. The tee pees and connestoga wagons you can stay in are such an awesome concept. At night they have campfires where you can make smores and relax after a long day. Once the fires go out the stars light up the sky. This is an all time epic place. Just stay here!

It was a wonderful hotel. 5 minutes drive to Capitol Reef National park. The personal was friendly and helpful. The place itself is amazing. We enjoyed the bonfire at the evenings, the breakfasts were good, and there are several very good restaurants around. Our kids enjoyed the horse riding at the area of the hotel, the pool and jacuzzi. Highly recommended place to stay if you travel to Capitol Reef

This resort was extremely convenient for exploring Capitol Reef Resort! Amazing location and views, and we loved staying in the "tiny house" cabins (with two bedrooms and a living area).

The cabin portion of the resort was lovely; however, pulling up to the resort it does look like a roadside motel -- a little rundown and could use some upkeep. The cabins themselves were new and beautiful and super clean. The pool was unfortunately closed. It would have been nice to have multiple fire pits running instead of one.

The proximity to everything in the park was great. We had cellular reception on the property, in addition to the Wi-Fi. The restaurant was pretty good. We ate there for dinner and breakfast. The staff was friendly. We had a fridge and a microwave in the room. Very nice fluffy towels.

Our room was on the lower floor, and we could hear absolutely every step the guy above us took. He got up at 5:45. Also the guest before us had apparently set the physical alarm clock for 6 AM, because it went off unexpectedly for us. Of course by then we were already awake because of the guy above us stomping around like the floor had insulted his mother. The pipes also knocked periodically. we travel with earplugs, I am masks, and a white noise machine, but it wasn’t enough for this room. You have got to get a top floor room if you’re going to stay here. That is our only complaint, but it’s kind of a big one. Two other things to note. There is no water bottle filling station. And the DIRECTV channels are weird. You have to go up to the 500s to find normal TV.

We stayed in one of the cabins/ bungalows which was fantastic. Clean and very nicely decorated. The view from the porch was spectacular. We ate breakfast which was excellent and used the hot tub (pool wasn't yet open) and it was awesome after hiking at the National Park. The resort is the closest accommodations to the National Park. They have a campfire each night as well.

Priced a little on the high side for the cabins.

This place is set in a gorgeous spot with wonderful views out the living area. Cute teepees and conestoga wagons can also be rented. They light fire pits in the evening creating a relaxing spot for conversation and a glass of wine. We ate breakfast there and was a nice spot. In general it all needs updating. But we felt it was perfect for what we needed and a good value. Only a short drive to Capital Reef Nat’l Park and just outside Torrey. We had dinner across the road at Rim Rock and the food was excellent.

Bedroom faces the road and parking area.
