Comfort Inn Virginia Horse Center

Breakfast was average for this chain of hotels. Was what we expected, nothing more. Bed was comfortable & room size good. Air conditioning was adequate but noisy as most are. The room seemed somewhat humid/damp air, which was not great. Location was convenient to Interstate. Very quiet..lots of horse people as expected close to the Horse Center & a big show going on. The place felt very safe & our check in person, a young man, was especially personable. We would stay here again.

Location was great as it was close to VMI and we were bringing our son to school. It was also pet friendly, which is what we needed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It seemed to be pretty clean.

The beds were too small for two people to sleep comfortably. The room also seemed damp, the floors and even the beds. We finally lowered the a/c considerably and it helped a bit. Also it was hard to stop the back entrance door from shutting very loudly and as our room was located near it, it would wake us.

Love that they are dog-friendly. Customer service was great. We left behind one of our dog's chew toys and they found it, called promptly and gave me info about how to have it shipped home. We were so relieved to get the toy back (dog's fave) so easily.

Definitely an older property. It was clean enough, but not spotless. But, we are not complaining! We were also in a dog room, so that could have affected the cleanliness.

Good variety of foods . The pool was open all day and evening. We appreciated the lemon water and tea and coffee in the lobby. Side door access from outside. Very comfortable beds!

Placement of food on the counters could have been better for ease of selecting. There were too many tables and chairs in that room making it hard to even take a look at what was available. Hall corridor could use more lights,

Rooms were clean. Breakfast was passable.

Price was high due to graduation events for the quality of the product. Checkin process took a very long time.

Location. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Clean bathroom.

My 2nd stay here this month. Chose it again, because of location. Almost didn’t, because it was $20 higher than previous stay....This stay had no hair dryer in the bathroom. We checked in late....11:00pm. So I didn’t check....didn’t think I needed to. But I should have! Last stay 2 weeks ago....I had to call front desk at 9 pm, because there was no bath mat or shower curtain. And the sink faucet did not look clean. Needs a little more attention/efficiency from housekeeping....

I needed another room last minute. They accommodated me with a room next to mine and at a great rate.

Pool was closed for repairs but I was able to use the one at Best Western during my stay

Close proximity to town and interstates. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location was off road enough to be quiet for sleeping.

The room was a bit too small for 3 persons sharing the room.

it was really clean, the breakfast was wonderful, the beds slept really well too. the staff was friendly and helpful

Some of the guests has dogs that barked at every thing. Don’t guess that’s an actual hotel issue though.
