The staff was exceptionally kind and courteous. the room was fine. Se more below regarding food and the military discount lost.

Some of the meals were substandard for the price and a place like The Homestead. Most disappointing was the fact that The Homestead, if contacted directly, would have given a 10% military discount on the room amounting to $100-$200. Having accidentally gone thru Bookings.com led to the Homestead not being able to provide that discount and Bookings.com did not make that option available or obvious.

Paid a lot of money for a one night stay to find hotel under refurbishment so a lot of areas closed. We were not told about this when booking.so a disappointment and the credit voucher reviewed could only be used on activities and not food or drink so a real waste for us. Very disappointed

Room 1103, was perfect, newly updraded and so relaxing, Main hall music is great. Jefferson dining was what we wanted we also went to the jefferson historic pools

Minor issue, was confusion on what dining areas were open and times, I know there is renovations, but this could have been an issue. We understand, renovations make for alot of changes, it will be better after that is complete

I took my daughter who is a graduating senior for two days. The main objective was to let her experience the spa. When she was younger and we went to the Homestead she always wanted to go to this was a right of passage. It was not that crowded being the first couple days after Mother’s Day and during the first of the week. That was a plus for us as nothing was very crowded. There were some construction going on at the hotel which is expected they are in a major redo but nothing was too disturbing. The spa was wonderful, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We ate in the Jefferson dining room and the food was excellent. We did not up for the large breakfast in the main dining room the morning that we checked out, but instead ate at the little café which was more than adequate with breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The weather was great the ambience was good and I must say I’ve been to the Homestead multiple times and this is probably my favorite trip ever. It gets a little busy during the holidays and over the summer so this was an excellent time to go. I plan on going this time again next year to avoid the more crowded times. But as always the staff is very professional and courteous and everything just clicked!

! I wish the gym wasn’t so far away. I wanted to go super early in the morning and they could have taken me by shuttle, and it was a little chilly in the morning didn’t feel like making the walk so I blew off the gym. I wish there was a gym in the main part of the hotel. But it’s not the end of the world

Beautiful property. The welcome team of people from Valet to the desk, to the concierge, to the bellman were just great. Our cocktails and dinner were delicious and relaxing.

Unfortunately, the pool was not open on the day of our stay. We would have enjoyed that.

There’s so much to do for kids and adults. Beautiful classic property. The staff is great.

Some of the activities and food can be rather pricey. The property is being renovated so it is about 2/3 room availability.

I had the best room! I was in the South Wing and had one of the garden rooms with French doors that opened to small patio. It was delightful.

I wouldn’t say “didn’t like,” but the lighting in the bedroom part was not very bright. It was cloudy and rainy all weekend so I felt I had to cut on every lamp to really see we’ll.

Beautiful historic resort complex. Our third time here. Classy and relaxed atmosphere. Variety of activities . Great for golfers, tennis players, hikers and bikers. Spa and natural “ healing” warm springs were some of the original reasons visitors came here.

Due to current situation in post pandemic economy somewhat understaffed. Hiking trail maps should have better markings and reference locations.

Loved the history, size, and amenities. The pools were great! The slide and lazy River were a hit with my teens, as well as mini golf. The games on the lawn were lots of fun in the evenings as well. Breakfast in the dining hall was wonderful- great food and service and ambiance! And I enjoyed my quiet morning sipping coffee from Martha’s and rocking on the front porch.

I felt like there should have been a public option to dip in the mineral springs. None of us took advantage of the spring water and that would have been a nice highlight to our stay. My kids are teens and wouldn’t have been allowed in the water at the spa. I didn’t want to splurge on the spa for myself without being able to include the rest of my family. Also, since the hours were limited on the restaurants leaving very little options at dinner, I wish there had been more explanation for food options. We figured it out by the 2nd day, but arriving on a Tuesday meant there were almost no dinner options available in the town (all closed) and we didn’t feel we were dressed up enough for Jefferson’s.

everything was very perfect! the best resort ever! I will plan to visit it again and again. Room is very pretty. Adorable atmosphere everywhere. Fireplaces and jazz, what can be better! Hot pools and SPA zone.
