Staybridge Suites Tysons - McLean, an IHG Hotel

It is a great hotel! Staff is extremely helpful, the room was spacious (we had the suite with a kitchen, fridge, microwave, a working table and a chair and a sofa). McLean is a very quiet town and the location of the hotel is perfect - you even can get on foot anywhere (even to Tyson if you have this need - and from there to Washington DC). They also have a giant parking and a free to use garage.

Breakfast could have a little more variety and some vegetables (even steamed). The water pressure at the 4th floor was not great but still manageable. Wi-Fi was not working a few times but was always promptly fixed by the staff after our request.

We were very surprised with our suite. Personally, I didn't expect so much space! We had two bedrooms with two fully equipped bathrooms, three TVs, kitchenette and a very comfortable living room. My granddaughter was very happy to have a separate room and a bathroom for herself. We stayed for only one night, but it was such a pleasant time. The neighborhood is very quite. There are plenty of restaurants around. And just a very pretty area.

The location is perfect for my needs. Good restaurants are nearby, close to Tyson’s Corner but none of the traffic, and area is calm and quiet. Easy on/off to I-465 and access to IAD airport.

There are two gentlemen, seem related, who are probably the property owners — they are grumpy every time I have some encounter with them. All of the other staff is great! They are nice, engaging, and very customer service focused.

Staybridge is designed for fairly long term stay. I am getting my kitchen renovated, so I sought refuge here from noise, dust, and uncomfortable conditions. I loved Staybridge’s well designed kitchen, large bathroom, comfy bed and quiet corner location. Breakfast is a nice bonus, but not terribly yummy. The happy hour during the week is brilliant! Good value for a long term stay.

The breakfast was fantastic! We loved that there were different choices each day. We drove to DC from Massachusetts, and we loved the proximity to the West Falls Church Metro station and the cheap $3 parking during the week. The area the hotel is located in is very clean and quiet--CVS and the grocery store are a five minute walk away, and the coffee shop next door was an added bonus. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

We would have preferred queen sized beds rather than doubles.

Two separate rooms with small children are incredibly important. The small children can be put to bed, door shut and adults can be in lounge/kitchen area until small children fall asleep. Bath in room. Swimming pool open at 10am instead of noon like the rest of the hotels in the area, again better for children. Breakfast buffet provided with many options.

Only queen beds provided, an option for 2 single beds for children would be better. Many options at breakfast buffet but no gluten free breads or muffins, that would have been better. Also no dairy free almond or rice milk option. Also no wine bottler opener in room as guests have been stealing IT! So have to go to reception with bottle, open it, return opener immediately.

Quit in the hallways, airconditioning avaliable, no problems with the wifi. Fridge, microwave & freezer were available, coffeemaker. Spacious room. Equipped with all the essentials.

Breakfast was poor/low quality. But it was included/free, so no worries.

Had hot breakfast with eggs that varied by the day. Friendly and efficient check in.

They were playing Fox News on the TV in the breakfast room. I used to watch it regularly but now (after Trump and Jan. 6 )consider it unAmerican. I wonder if there is any news channel one could consider non-political or neutral.

Having some breakfast, (basics: fruit, coffee). Staff was nice. Outside area is quiet and pleasant. Location is great. Free parking - thank you! Spacious rooms. Would stay again.

Breakfast not so good: egg whites with tomatoes and spinach, spicy potatoes were not good. Better stay with traditional breakfast food. Waffle, bacon, and regular omelets would be better. High table and stools in the room are not comfortable. Hard to get on for older people.

Good location, staff was friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. I really like having the kitchen in the room.

Since there is no housekeeping, there was always garbage in the hallways that people left outside their room for pickup which led to the smell of garbage in the halls. The pool could have been a little cleaner but it was still nice and I am glad we had use of it.
