The best staff ever! A lovely older hotel well maintained and right next to Richmond's historic district. Big room and bathroom beautifully appointed. And the music in the public areas is nonstop swing, like Artie Shaw, Chick Webb, and Benny Goodman. Awesome. My only concern was for my car: the hotel is on a cobblestone street, which is something they can't help, of course. I guess I'm more concerned about that than others, but after my first day, I asked the valet to park on the side street, so I could avoid those stones. So, in the end, no biggie. =^)

The staff is always friendly and courteous. I enjoy the poolside for the quietness for relaxing and reading. And the location for the conference and stores were nice and easy accessible.
The closing of the pool early but I understand the reason. This is a nice hotel and I really have no complaints.

I didn't have time to have breakfast in the morning but will try it next time. The room was clean and comfortable. I could have slept in both days if I was able. I stayed due to renovation in progress of the place that I rent. I recommend this hotel..it was quiet and peaceful.

Considering the COVID pandemic and the restaurant not being open to dine in FOR breakfast, I thought the brown bag breakfast was excellent and delicious. The hotel gave you a choice between several hot breakfast sandwiches juice cereal muffins breakfast bars fruit etc. it was enough to get you through the morning.

We have often stayed here when we visit family in Midlothian. The breakfasts are very good. The staff is friendly. The Governor's Inn has character. It isn't a cookie cutter hotel.

They were obviously friendly, accommodating, and pleasant. The place was clean and easily accessable for handicapped. Clean and comfortable.
That their breakfast, an item that was formally a very special part of visiting Governor's Inn, no longer is available. A major disappointment.

I smell of marijuana in the hall way and as you walked into out front going into our rooms building. My husband is in recovery and we had to smell that going into our room

Thos was a fantastic hotel for what we required and after paying 'over the odds in less salubrious accommodation for far more pennies this accommodation was a welcome break. Great staff!, Great location, Great southern hospitality!! Great price!

My 2nd time staying here and it's peaceful and quiet. The rooms are very nice and kept clean. Big Screen T.V. with a nice picture. The shower is amazing the water stays hot and the pressure is great. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The building is beautiful. The hotel is very clean and we felt more than home here. We felt very save. The housekeeping cleaned our rooms every day and you could smell the cleanness. The breakfast was ok to good. In the situation of covid, we know that we can't have a buffet breakfast.
